Oh yes, teachers across the board all spontaniosly decided to use the same metaphorical meaning of “armed with” in response to Trump. This is not a case of activism being sold as news, no sir.

There are those in the teaching profession who are only interested in providing an honest and safe education to their charges. These are the ones who would volunteer to have the means to protect and defend their students.

Then there are those who see their function as indoctrinating the next generation of subjects for the State.

Yet, others who view their students as fodder to be bullied into submission and or objects to be used for their own deviant sexual desires.

Federal government is supposed to provide safety for its citizens and have failed numerous times over the last 20 years.

What do they need books for? We gave them Apple laptops....and Taj Mahal schools, and 12 kid classrooms.

I think it's time to do a little “claw-back” for the taxpayers.

(thieving educRATs)

The vast majority of teachers are liberal Trump-hating democrats.

Right! Books and school supplies. You bet.

Several years ago I retired from an Illinois inner city, what they like to call, "Alternative School".

During my time at this school, I saw students armed with everything from straight razors to handguns.

Of course the teachers/staff in the school were not allowed to be armed, and in fairness, the student's weapon problem, while serious, was not something that we saw everyday.

That said, while I can positively state that I never saw a weapon on the person of one of our non police staff members during my entire time in this district, I can also say that I would be truly amazed if some of that same staff was not, from time to time, armed.

We could give them money for books and supplies ...

... but the Administrators would just spend it on hiring new assistants for their current assistants.

(from the article):" #ArmMeWith rallying cry "

I refuse to click on anything having to do with HUFFingongtonPuffington post, or the LASlimes.
I would note that the indoctrination centers, sometimes called schools, are run by "Snowflakes"
and are designed to produce nothing more than more "Snowflakes" with Pu$$yHats.

"Based on the latest test scores, many students have yet to crack a book and study."

Maybe they have cracked too many Common Core books and that's why things are so screwed up. I remember the days when school was about learning English, math, science and history. You also had choices in shop, home ec and a few other things. There was not a single SJW class. Now it seems to be mostly SJW classes.

What they need:

1) Paddles.

2) Severely limit using drugs to control behavior

3) Separating boys from girls and recognizing that boys have different learning approaches and needs and have more divergent behavior and skill sets.

Teachers like girls because they cluster around a mean and are easier to control. They want boys to be like girls so it is easier for them. Drugs have been the solution.

When the US Department of Education was created in 1980, American children were second only to Australia's.

Now they are 17th.

It's high time to give control back to the individual states.

“books and school supplies as well as time and resources.”

1. Exactly which books will stop school shootings?
2. Exactly which school supplies will stop school shootings?
3. This is a no-go. There is no way to make MORE time, you can only utilize the minutes, hours, days that you have in a better manner.
4. Exactly what resources given to teachers will prevent school shootings?

I would be interested to ask them why in the days of one room schoolhouses, boys usually got hunting rifles or shotguns for birthday presents (like my great uncle did) and they weren’t mowing down their teachers and peers if they had such easy access? And my uncle probably was that good deal more thoughtful and literate with a grade 8 education than probably that great many coming out of California’s universities these days.

Seems to say a lot about the closed union shops public schools have been for a number of years (and me and my family got to see a nasty example of this a while back that helped influence me to become a conservative).

Ask the 6 dead adults at Sandy Hook, who shielded 20 students with their unarmed bodies how they would vote if only they could have a do-over.

Aaron Feis died shielding a student with his own body. If he had a gun, he and perhaps a dozen children would still be alive today.

Arm the Aarons!

The rest of you precious snowflake teachers can cower behind the adults.

Property tax is high enough because of schools. If people are having less children, why do we need so much money for schools? Shouldn’t that expense start going down soon? I knew somebody who served on a school board and he said a little about how budgets are done. He said that schools have to spend the same or more each year, or they lose the money in the budget next year. Where’s the incentive to save or make do in that model?
