The Associated Press also had just reported that McCabe, like Comey, kept personal memos of his interactions with Trump. ...... McCabe said he could corroborate Comey's description of conversations he had with Trump before he was fired in May of last year.
It was in the aftermath of Comey's ouster, after he said Trump asked him to lay off the investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn and asked him for loyalty, that the Washington Post reported Mueller had expanded his investigation to look at possible obstruction of justice.
DOJ/Rosenstein issued a press release about that WaPo story, essentially saying it was false.
We've seen Comey's spin for about a year already. It's the same spin the press has been running, Schiff has been running, and so on. It isn't going to get any more credible just because it's been bound into a book.
And what he says is important because?
The first time around, the Obstruciton stories were met with "conflict of interest" OpEds by the likes of Turley. I opined that Rosenstein and Mueller would be stupid (maybe they are) to introduce a conflict of interest, when they could find some weasel other than Comey's friend Mueller to take that part of the case.
Are Mueller and Rosenstien trying to create a conflict of interest, to justify self-immolation?

Actually, Comey didn’t say it was only because of proving intent. He said something like “No prosecutor would bring such a case”. He meant no one would prosecute a high official like Hillary for this crime. But Trump he would prosecute for everything imaginable.
