An attorney for a former employee of the American Airlines Center in Dallas wants to depose Mavericks owner Mark Cuban regarding allegations of racial discrimination, including an incident involving a noose found at the arena in 2011. Michelle Newsome was fired last year after 13 years with the Arena Operating Company, which manages the American Airlines Center, and she filed a petition Thursday in Dallas County indicating she’s “seeking information regarding Cuban’s knowledge of and/or passive or active encouragement of [or conspiracy regarding] sexual harassment and race discrimination that has been occurring at AAC and adversely affecting employees,” the Dallas Morning News reports. Newsome, who filed a $13 million wrongful termination lawsuit against the arena last year, alleges the work environment she endured as a sales suite executive is “very similar” to earlier reports that prompted the NBA to investigate a woman’s allegations that Cuban sexually assaulted her in an Oregon bar in 2011. The Mavericks also hired outside counsel to probe allegations of inappropriate conduct by former team president Terdema Ussery after a Sports Illustrated report described a hostile workplace for women.

These “noose” cases are one of the more amusing extremes of our racially-charged, politically correct, hyper-sensitive culture. Most of them turn out to not be nooses or are scams perpetrated by liberals trying to gin up controversy and support for their cause. But the paranoia and kabuki theater outrage are as surreal as they are amusing.

There was a noose found at the stadium where Mark Cuban’s team played - therefore it’s Mark Cubans fault. Oh and he’s worked with a trump too so Trump must be involved and he should be summoned for deposition.
I agree. I don't really care for him, but I read somewhere that whenever he goes out, such as nightclubs or trendy restaurants (he does own a basketball team), he has several bodyguards, and they film literally everything he does, as the claims of sexual harassment in such places are guaranteed.
Me neither, don’t like Cuban, but these ‘race hustlers’ are nothing more than Jesse Jackass wannabes...............

Although the article is poorly written. Racism? Sexism? Harassment? Maybe I need more coffee, but I’m still a bit unclear about the point. They found a noose but I’m not sure how that relates to this woman’s story.
Adding to the reasons why it’s no longer safe for a white straight male to hire anyone else but a white straight male.
She was let go over 7 years ago. What is the statute of limitations on this? Oh, don’t forget that Texas is a right to work state - hired and fired at will.
What I don’t understand is the legal action (they say it isn’t a lawsuit)compelling Cuban to be deposed. To what end?

Hopefully the judge looked at the Trump decision yesterday and decides the same thing.
If he’s guilty I hope he gets nailed, but 7 years later? Nope, not in this era of get rich quick hush money politics. If she has enough proof to warrant him being deposed now, why didn’t she do it 7 years ago?
