The porn actress Stormy Daniels is expected to attend a court hearing in New York on Monday where a U.S. judge is hearing more arguments about President Donald Trump’s extraordinary request that he be allowed to review records seized from his personal lawyer’s office as part of a criminal investigation before they are examined by prosecutors.

The raid carried out last Monday at Michael Cohen’s apartment, hotel room, office and safety deposit box sought bank records, records on Cohen’s dealing in the taxi industry, Cohen’s communications with the Trump campaign and information on payments made in 2016 to former Playboy model Karen McDougal and to Daniels, whose birth name is Stephanie Clifford, people familiar with the investigation told The Associated Press. They spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the confidential details of the investigation.

Both women say they had affairs with Trump.

Lawyers for Cohen said Monday that investigators “took everything” during raids last week. Prosecutors say Cohen is being investigated for an undisclosed crime related to his personal business dealings.

Joanna Hendon, a Trump lawyer, argued in papers filed Sunday that any materials involving the president should be flagged by Cohen and turned over to the president to be reviewed for any attorney-client privilege issues. …

It could take awhile before attorney-client privilege is resolved...

Just curious - is anyone on Mueller’s team even bothering to use the words “Russia Collusion” any longer?

1 - Seize records

2 - Copy records

3 - Return records when ordered by court with or without an apology.

It takes a rare brand of stupidity to call that an "extraordinary request."

Attorney client privilege is equal to the confessional.

Attorney's defend criminals all the time....and they know they were guilty because they told their attorney.

No one has a right to those conversations.

"The porn actress Stormy Daniels is expected to attend a court hearing in New York on Monday..."

Is she the entertainment during the break?

Lawyers for Cohen said Monday that investigators “took everything” during raids last week

And here I thought a search warrant was supposed to limit what should be taken.

Good luck. This is what happens when “drain the swamp” is just a campaign slogan.

During the eight years of Clinton and the eight years of Obama, almost every single action against them was tied up in “Executive Privilege” court actions.

Yet President Trump uses exactly the same thing to protect his attorney-client privilege and nobody in the press seems to remember a thing about those actions.

If I have heard it once, I have heard it a thousand times, every stinking liberal out there is a stone cold hypocrite.

“extraordinary request”

Media spinning.

Nothing extraordinary about it.

The search should never have taken place and the FBI has no right to the records.

This is the way they kick the cans down the road, folks.

Don’t fall for it.

The Cohen “case” is laughable: he filled out the form wrong? Really? Know any banks who care as long as he pays the interest? They didn’t complain.

Mueller knows all this. What he does is try to turn everything into a crime, something he and Jim Comey have been doing for decades. Strained legal theories, stretched reasoning. Gloria Allred has been pulling the same crap for about as long.

It’s utter BS, and every attorney knows it.

The Request to ‘Review’ the material with a Judge is in No Way “Extraordinary”.

If they had a search warrant then where is the illegality?
