The pardons aren’t. An EO would have been. But this is perplexing as heck. If Cuomo does have national aspirations, he can kiss them goodbye after this.

Donning my tinfoil chapeau for a moment, what if this isn’t about voting at all...What if this is just a way to hide one or more pardons that Cuomo knows wouldn’t pass the smell test...?

Cuomo never ceases to amaze the dwindling number of hard working Conservatives in The Peoples Democratic Republic of New York.... AG Schneiderman no doubt is all on board with this, how ironic!

I live in NYS. This ain’t going over well Upstate. Especially in light of the crime and drugs-related issues Upstate is having. Not that Albany gives a rat’s a$$ about Upstate.
I hate to say it, but EVERY SINGLE one of those pardons will have to be scrutinized.
Every. Single. One.

Dems aren’t running out. It’s makers fleeing the state, not takers. That’s why, from a voter roll standpoint, this makes no sense.
Unless Cuomo is worried about DINO voters....
If so...goody.

Agreed! I live in the Hudson Valley, worked for NYSDOCS, retired, and it sure isn’t going over well with me.

Well, we already knew that the Democrats are the party of lawlessness and criminal enterprise.
This just adds more proof to the pile. Remove the criminals, the illegals, and the DNC wouldn't win another election for the next fifty years.

It has been said that a pardon is Constitutional, and, that may be a valid gimmick to get what Dems want, but it is clearly a violation of the intention in the Constitution.
Education is the real road to success, for the wayward citizen , rather than him being used as a political stepping stone.
