He has gone just as low, but shes a comedian, not president, so she does deserve a bit more leeway when it comes to making jokes.
At Saturdays White House Correspondents Dinner, comedian Michelle Wolf made some jokes about White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders that have a lot of people, particularly on the right, very upset.
...
Sanders was visibly upset the entire time, and many people on the right rushed to her defense saying that Wolfs jokes were inappropriate and an outrage. Heres the thing, though: Many of those same people have absolutely no problem with it when President Trump makes fun of people, no matter how low the blow.
Yes. In case youve forgotten, Donald Trump also really likes to make fun of people. On the campaign trail, he referred to Marco Rubio as Little Marco and Jeb Bush as low-energy Jeb. During a debate, he readily agreed that hed compare Rosie ODonnell to a fat pig, slob, dog, and disgusting animal. He mocked Carly Fiorina, saying Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? During his presidency, he made fun of Mika Brzezinski, saying he once saw her bleeding badly from a face-lift. The list goes on and on.
If you find yourself being outraged about Wolfs jokes about Sanders, Id suggest you ask yourself: Were you outraged about any of the above jokes as well? If not, why not?
The way it appears now is that when Trump makes fun of Mikas face, the Right says Chill, its just a joke! and the Left says its an outrage. When Michelle Wolf says Sarah Huckabee Sanderss eyeshadow is made of lies, the Left says Chill, its just a joke! and the Right says its an outrage.

So we can’t be mad at the hypocrisy of the Left?
The NeverTrump National Review is still sticking to their core value, I see.
The name of the game is promote hate and lie.
The skinny, semi-NEVER TRUMPER does some virtue signaling. Sarah Sanders is worth 50 Timphs IMHO.
National Review, flying their anti-Trump colors.
Never Trumpers always join the Left to show they have nothing to do with the uncouth Trump.
I stopped reading NRO a long time ago and don’t give them traffic.
Rodney Dangerfield was a comic and funny. Bill Cosby was a comic and funny. Jerry Seinfeld is a comic and funny......Wolf and Kathy Griffin are not funny nor are they comics.
Hey National Review, the 2016 election is over. You lost!
Sorry but calling someone little Marco or low-energy Jeb is a far cry from hurling expletives. Apparently Katherine Timpf is incapable of seeing that distinction. So why would I even consider listening to anything she has to offer?
Just join the democrats, you bozos.
Trump attracts many in the democrat party, that is why he won. You anti-Trump losers really need to leave. Now.
Bye bye.
STFU you ugly, skinny, stupid b****.
I’ll no doubt be banned from this site but I don’t give a damn. I’ve had it with this BS. It is time to strike fear in the black hearts of Liberal-Leftist garbage wherever they may be. When attacked strike them with overwhelming force. make them live in fear.
Enough is enough.
DJT has a record of counter-attacking, hitting back at those who hit him.
And I can’t remember any crude attempts at humor about abortion.
BTW: his comments about grabbing them by the pu$$y were only an accurate description of groupie behavior.
Even many hate-filled leftist journalists condemned the “comedienne”. So National Review and Timpf are running to the left of them! No wonder I have not clicked through anything from NR since before the election!
I agree that Trump has said and tweeted things that I wish he hadn’t. He didn’t need to make that off color comment about Megyn Kelly being on her period for instance. However, some of the stuff he’s done has been mis characterized as well. The one where he tweeted the wrestling takedown of CNN was just plain funny and everyone got up in arms about it. Look, everyone in the world knows that wrestling is fake and it was not directed at one person, but an organization so CNN needed to get over it.
I wish that President Trump would not tweet some of the things he has in the past. However, this was not an election of Trump vs. Baby Jesus, it was Trump vs. Hillary. Will I take a few off color comments and tweets from Trump vs. the train wreak of a Hillary Clinton presidency? Every time.....
Total circulation of The National Review is 142,667. It’s spit in the ocean.
When items appear in FR in a column, we tend to associate the same societal impact to each. This is not the case. Many of the anti-Trump and raving anti-conservative posts have little or no impact on the broader culture and are a waste of the reader’s time, attention and angst.
Timpf wants to go back to the good old days when conservatives held Republicans to standards and the Dems walked all over us. No one is “mad” at Wolfe. We just think of her as an unfunny, obnoxious liberal b__tch. She was hired to make these comments. Not only were they unfunny. They were nasty. In terms of Trump’s comments, I’ll take them on a case by case basis:
Trump calling Rosie O’Donnell a fat pig. I don’t care. Rosie dished it out to Trump and he gave it back to her.
Trump making fun of Carly Fiorina’s face. I thought he was wrong to do that. It was obnoxious and uncalled for.
Trump making fun of Mika Brzezinski. I don’t care. She’s made plenty of obnoxious comments about people on her show.
Spot ON H.T.!
Leftists are becoming unhinged, in the same way a bully becomes unglued when someone he is used to bullying actually hits back and gives them a bloody nose!
For years, they have taken for granted that non-Leftist Presidents and other politicians are going to accept any amount of abuse from Leftist sources, be it political or media, without even so much as a peep.
Trump doesn’t, and swings back. Nothing unglues these people like a formerly passive victim actually putting up a fight, because as Dan Bongino likes to state...they don’t have the constitution for a fight.
They are bullies. I love seeing them in this state.
It used to drive me crazy when Bush would just roll over and accept the abuse without protest.
