Former Vice President Dick Cheney told FOX Business Maria Bartiromo that he is in favor of restarting the enhanced interrogation program that helped foil terrorist plots in the U.S.
If it were my call I would not discontinue those programs. I'd have them active and ready to go, Cheney said during an interview broadcast Thursday on Mornings with Maria. "And I'd go back and study them and learn

The former vice president doesnt classify the interrogation tactics as torture because the techniques used on 9/11 architect, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed were also used on U.S. training officers, he said.
You tell me that the only method we have is please, please, pretty please, tell us what you know? Well I dont buy that, Cheney said.
Always loved Cheney. True patriot.
I approve of enhanced interrogation methods.
I knew that waterboarding was not torture when reporters started lining up to try it so that they could report on how it was torture.
I don’t recall any reporters ever lining up to try having their fingernails pulled out, getting shocked with high voltage electricity, or spending some time on a rack.
GWB has become a disappointment for many of us here, we knew VP Cheney was the real conservative and with frank talk like this, I wonder what would have occurred had he had a whimper VP, I shutter to think where we would have been without him.
I doubt it will ever be gone. Still and forever in the mix of tools our clandestine services have at their SECRET disposal.
The job will get done when needed.
I’ve always liked Cheney. We think alike. I’ve had it with weak loser pussies.
Would have been much better off with Cheney as Prez instead of W.
Those pu**ies would claim 5 jumping jacks were torture.
He can say that but does not need to; we should keep it as a tool absolutely.
Yup. On the assclowns on the “select intell committee”.!
The other thing was casualties. Everyone was impressed with the fact we were able to do our job with as few casualties as we had. But for the 146 Americans killed in action, and for their families it wasnt a cheap war. And the question for the president, in terms of whether or not we went on to Baghdad, took additional casualties in an effort to get Saddam Hussein, was how many additional dead Americans is Saddam worth? Our judgment was, not very many, and I think we got it right.
-- Dick Cheney, former U.S. Secretary of Defense, 4/15/94
For this same guy to turn around in 2002-03 and decide that an invasion of Iraq was a good idea is an 'effing disgrace. I despise this pr!ck.
Damn straight.
You know when intel pros like Haspel tell politicians “they don’t work” there can be no doubt that they are highly effective. Tell them what they want to hear, get the job, then quietly and effectively do what must be done to keep Americans safe.
Thank you Mr. Cheney. Well said. I couldn’t help but cringe at the hypocrisy in the Gina Haspel hearings yesterday. They want to pin torture tactics on this woman, but I know they would pull out all the stops if they thought their family was in danger. Someone needs to ask them for advice on how to handle the next detainee that has information that will save lives. What is their plan ?
I agree, if it’s good enough for our boys then let’s give it to the terrorists.
I love that man. Would love to spend time talking to him, picking his brain. He and his wife would be on my bucket list of who I’d have over for a Bbq.. :)
It’s sadly true that torture works.
Dick Cheney - always the one to double-down, even when it’s not PC.
Then I post this just for you...
