Trump is draining the swamp —Rebuilding government may be impossible
In the 2013 novel “A Delicate Truth,” John le Carré presents the “deep state” as a moneyed, cultured élite — the “non-governmental insiders from banking, industry, and commerce” whose access to information allows them to rule in secret. Trump’s conception is quite different. A real-estate baron, Trump is at war with the clerks — the apparatchiks who, he claims, are seeking to nullify the election by denying the prerogatives of his Administration.
This attack on “bureaucracy” is really an attack on the State Department, the intelligence community and ordinary bureaucrats who enforce regulations and monitor compliance with the law. Even the usual suspects at the conservative think tanks who usually have the inside track on jobs in a new Republican administration have been shut out.
Many people claim that underneath the bluster, Donald Trump is just another Republican who likes to use Twitter. But while he was made possible by the modern conservative movement and a political system that enabled such a man to become president, he is nonetheless unique. This evisceration of federal government institutions is nothing we’ve ever seen before.
The story about the elimination of experts and the deliberate erasure of institutional memory in department after department is chilling. It will be difficult, if not impossible, to replace these people even after Trump is gone. His lasting legacy may be the destruction of the federal government as we know it.

Patriots are reminded that Pres. Trump cannot drain the swamp all by himself. In order for Trump to completely drain the swamp, patriots must give Trump a state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will support him in the 2018 midterm elections.
Also, we ultimately need to get rid of the 17th Amendment.
The 16th Amendment can disappear too.
Liberals hate conservatives because we want to conserve what’s good with our nation. We want to restore voracious, out-of-control government to its original constitutional confines and enumerated powers.
The only thing liberals want to conserve is rotten to the core, thoroughly corrupt big government. Everything else in the old order they want to tear down and destroy.

Yeb! was supposed to graciously lose after running a civil campaign, he was no more likely to win than McCain or Romney.
If by some miracle he had won, we would have had to add more employees to process all the “new Americans” and their benefits.
That’s why we elected him!

In May? Idiot is right. I think I have seen every episode of Deadliest Catch and the Bering Sea is never covered in ice. And that's in January when they fish the crab. Sometimes pack ice covers a lot of it, for brief periods, but that's not the same as being frozen over.
