(2016) Obstruction of Justice Haunts Hillary’s Future
National Review ^ | 9/08/16 | DEROY MURDOCK

Like a trio of famished buzzards, three ugly words have started to circle over Hillary Clinton: obstruction of justice.

After reviewing the FBI’s recently released E-mailgate files, House Government Oversight Committee chairman Jason Chaffetz (R., Utah) on Tuesday wrote U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Channing Phillips.

“The Committee identified a sequence of events that may amount to obstruction of justice and destruction of evidence by Secretary Clinton and her employees and contractors, including her attorneys, employees of Platte River Networks,” and others, Chaffetz explained. He then asked Phillips to investigate Clinton and company for possibly violating 18 U.S. Code § 1001, 1505, or 1519. Making false statements in or obstructing federal proceedings can trigger prison sentences of up to five years. Destroying records in federal probes can cost up to 20 years behind bars.

So sad. I don’t think orange is her color.

But isn’t Orange the New Black? Hillary would feel right at home in prison. Oh well except for the lack of champagne and caviar. And limos in which she could stumble into.

I hope my dislike of this woman is not too unseemly. I just can’t stand her. She’s lived high off the hog on the taxpayers dime for her entire life. And she deserves whatever she gets. I think an orange jumpsuit would suit her just fine.

If my math is correct this took place 8 years ago. Anyone else would have been behind bars long ago.

Tough choice. If say McCabe or L. Lynch would do a plea-bargain flip to give up Hillary with convictable details should they just get a slap on the wrist?

Agree.

Preferably sooner rather than later.

It would be a great tribute to our fallen warriors if she were arrested on Memorial Day Weekend. Just a suggestion.

Channing Phillips is a DC political creation if he is the son of the Rev. Channing Phillps. In DC, no District Attorney at the top under the Mayor Marion Barry corrupt regime or his successors could be trusted when it came to serious Democrat politician corruption.

Can you do a followup on this issue?

do I sense a question mark in this article?? IF destroying evidence AFTER a subpoena has been issued is not obstruction of justice, what the hell is? and that my friends is just one of many criminal acts she did.

It’s 2018, she’s not been charged with anything and remains at large.

They better hurry up and get to the indictment, from what I’ve read, there’s generally only a blanket 5 year statute of limitations on all federal non-capital offenses.

The false statements would have been in July 2016, assuming it is referring to her testimony to the committee.

Destruction/obstruction would have been started in mid 2014, most likely, and ended in Aug/Sept 2015.

So, we’re almost two and three years into this and we all know how slow this goes...it has taken these years just to acknowledge what everyone already knew.
