Good Cop: Trump Bad Cop: Sessions
Vanity ^ | June 14, 2018 | self

Posted on 06/14/2018 6:38:34 PM PDT by The_Media_never_lie

I called the Mark Levin show. The call screener politely said, "What's on your mind?

I was upset that Mark was calling the tickets to sporting events and shows "gifts" which were given to the leakers. IMHO, they were bribes.

The screener said that unless Sessions or Trump enables a special prosecutor, and there is an indictment and conviction, there is no crime, so it is a gift.

Then I presented my theory that Trump is the classic good cop, and Sessions is giving him cover for doing nothing by being the bad cop. We are being played.

The screener politely said that we cannot deal in unprovable theories. He said "we know these people, and they are good Americans and want to do what is right". Then he hung up.

Sessions has narrowed his focus to illegals and a few other things. He's not a "bad cop", he's not a cop on this issue at all. Trump is not a DOJ/FBI cop either, he's mostly leaving them alone so he can focus on MAGA. That's what matters most to Trump, not fighting against the deep state.

What is truly silly is expecting the impossible. Somehow there is a super cop who could take over DOJ and/or FBI and clean house. There are certainly leaders who could start in that direction and they would be quickly stopped by the courts and attacked with made-up stuff by the media. There's actually no way to battle the deep state head on. The main reason is that the voters are voting for deep state as part of the managerial state. Tea party voters might be a large minority, but they are not a majority and don't have a lot of representation in Congress.

Trump appointed Sessions cuz Trump felt he was going to need someone to really, REALLY have his back:

Sessions was the very first Senator to stick his neck out and support Trump.

Sessions really did seem like the right guy for the job, that he would GO AFTER Trump enemies with an unslakeable thirst for justice.

Yet he’s too timid to take even the first little, bitty sip.

Trump declines to fire Sessions “cuz it would seem like Trump is LIKE NIXON”.

So Trump is STUCK with this Do Nothing.

I believe this was a redacted and modified version from Rod Rosenstein. Trump will soon declassify the original IG report and Rod will be revealed to be the cya that he is.

Hey, I am not a good person to have on the air. I am glad the screener did not allow me on the air.

But I stand by my outrage that I don’t like to hear Mark repeat the FBI’s words that the bribes were “gifts. They were not!

A simple question...have you been following the news at all?

The GOPE leaders, in both Houses, have said that they would NEVER confirm a new AG, if Trump fired him.

Why isn’t he insisting that he do his job?

Trump has been the only way available to him, twitter. sessions and rosenwiesel are trying to set Trump up on obstruction and the senate has told Trump that if he fires sessions they will not alow a new doj. Hell mueller has already interviewed sessions and found that Trump is trying to pressure sessions via twitter, you know, obstruction of justice. In essence, sessions is testifying against Trump. sessions is a back tabbing POS!

I think what you might be saying is:

The actual goal of Sessions Inaction is to deliberately EXASPERATE the Trump-voting public:

That Trump (somehow) BENEFITS from this public expasperation.

You are saying this..?

Your first mistake is listening to Mark Levin.

I think maybe you’re saying this:

The fact that Sessions is so NICE to the enemy (despite the apparent requirement by his office for him to not do so) seems to require Trump to be extra BAD to them instead, and he does that in the form of tweets, being short with the media, ect.

You are saying this..?

Over the past year, Sean Hannity has uncovered so much lawlessness, or lawlessness as it appears to me. It seems like Sessions is simply "looking the other way", hence he appears to me to be a "bad cop".

On the other hand, President Trump tweets about the lawlessness and calls it out kind of like a good cop would do, on the right side of law and order.

This is all I am saying. My apologies if I have offended the good cop, bad cop purists on this thread.

Mark Levin has - live, on air - called for Sessions to resign. He said, he ended a 30 yr friendship with Sessions by calling on him to resign. That he doesn’t ask Trump to fire Sessions, rather, he tells Sessions he needs to resign, is very telling.

He obviously does not think it would be a good plan for Trump to fire Sessions. Seemingly agreeing with Mark’s view, Trump has made it clear he is disgusted with Sessions and would not have appointed him if he had known what the man would do, and not do.

That he does not fire him, tells me plenty.

Trump isn’t afraid to fire Sessions. He just doesn’t think it’s a smart move. Maybe Trump has a strategy going forward that will negate/overcome the terrible drag Sessions is on all things DOJ...

No, I am not saying Trump benefits at all. I simply do not understand what the motivation may be. I am just saying Sessions is ignoring lawlessness, and giving cover for nothing to get prosecuted. He is a convenient lightning rod with his Mr. MaGoo persona.

I really like your post #34.

I am really exasperated, and hearing the FBI accepted “gifts” from media was the last straw.

MEDIA = DEMOCRAT OPERATIVES

Mark said on air that the FBI was given gifts for leaking stories. I don’t know what Mr. Call Screener’s problem with your call was. Try again.

He’s actually supporting them. Sessions praises the ‘deep state’ at every opportunity.
