At the bottom of the TIME article of the young crying girl 'separated from her mother by border control agents', we find this:
Correction:
The original version of this story misstated what happened to the girl in the photo after she taken from the scene. The girl was not carried away screaming by U.S. Border Patrol agents; her mother picked her up and the two were taken away together.

She wanted Ice-Cream and her Mother said no it will spoil your Dinner
To: yesthatjallen
It was a fake? She was crying because they wouldn’t give her an ice cream cone?

The BBC is also acknowledging this on their website.

The DailyMail also reported on this. The Washington Compost supposedly report it, but I have not seen conformation.

If they had any conscience, they would issue the correction in the same print, on the same page, and with the same emphasis as the original article.
But they don’t.

Magazines have been using file photos since the very beginning so only fools, kooks, malcontents, and John Birch recruiters complain if a magazine photo is fake, or the magazine uses the same photo numerous times for numerous different articles over an extended period of time.
To: Ben Ficklin
LOL! No doubt some of the demolibs thought that was an actual photo of Trump looking down at that little girl.
