Mark Zuckerberg Joins The North American Man-Boy Love Association, And Other Adventures In Facebook
https://www.forbes.com ^ | 10/7/2010 | Andy Greenberg

My colleague Kashmir Hill congratulated Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg earlier today on his increasingly savvy approach to talking about privacy issues in public. It should be interesting to see him try to talk his way out of this one.

The new "Groups" feature that Facebook rolled out yesterday allows users to slice and dice their friends into publicly-visible cliques, recognizing that users don't always want to share something with their entire friend list or just a single recipient. But Sophos security researcher Chet Wisniewski points in his blog to a gaping problem in that feature: Any user can add any of their friends to one of those groups without the friend's approval, generating a status update showing that the friend has been added to that group.

Most homosexuals were sexually molested as children.

They seek to normalize their behavior to achieve easier access to MOLEST YOUR CHILDREN!

On page 37, the other relevant result relates to men.

The 13th research question addressed, of homosexual men who have been molested, what percentage were molested before self-identification as homosexual men, and what percentage were molested after self-identification as homosexual? Of homosexual men who were molested, 68% were molested before self-identification as homosexual, and 32% were molested after self-identification as homosexual.

THAT is a very deceptive title. It implies that Zuckerberg himself ACTIVELY sought for membership.

We already know how deceptive the MSM are. Forbes ought to be better than that.

Agreed! People need to read this article, Zuckerberg is NOT really a member of NAMBLA.

Read the article. It was a hoax/prank. The point was on FB you can now be added to a group without your knowledge or consent.
From the article,

“Blogger Michael Arrington seems to have already performed a helpful proof-of-concept by adding Mark Zuckerberg to a group supposedly representing NAMBLA, the North American Man-Boy Love Association. Zuckerberg’s addition to the group is broadcast to all of his friends, as shown in the image above.”

“Though some have questioned Calacanis’s story, Facebook’s own FAQ confirms that anyone can be added to a group without his or her consent: “Can I prevent people from adding me to a new group?” is answered by “’The functionality of approving a group membership is not available.’”

Sophos’ Wisniewski argues that the prank could have serious consequences. “’Imagine you are traveling to the United States from overseas and your friends find it amusing to add you to a group that looks terrorist related,’” he writes. “’You might find a welcoming committee from the border patrol that you weren’t expecting.’”

So someone added him to that group?

Is this a REAL group? I can’t imagine who would be stupid enough to actually JOIN it.

They should immediately be investigated...!

I actually read the article.

It’s about FB’s ‘feature’ that allows anybody to assign any of their ‘friends’ to any group without their consent.

As a proof of why some felt this was not a feature, but a massive, gaping bug, the person stating the case involuntarily signed Zucky Cyborg up to the NAMBLA group.

As proof of this bloke’s point, many here are swallowing this hook and sinker.

FB should be avoided. At all costs.

IIRC, 30 some years ago an investigative reporter (Geraldo, maybe?) walked into a NAMBLA meeting with cameras and you never saw a room clear out so quickly.
Hanging is too good for these perverts in my opinion.

Agreed. It’s click bait. Forbes isn’t what it used to be since they sold it to some fuzzy foreigners.

"Friends" being able to do this is a good reason to avoid using "Facebook" at all. If you are concerned about your privacy (but not paranoid about it) stay away from social media.

I think the mods need to add prank/hoax in parenthesis to the headline.

Forbes wrote an interesting article but it’s headline is deceitful and inflammatory.

That’s not to say that Zuckerberg is a good man, I think he’s anything but.

Perhaps the title of this post should reflect what the article actually points out vs
“Z is a member of NAMBLA”

Did you even read the article?
Zuck was added by a friend, who was added by someone else. Friends can add friends to groups, without thier permission. The guy who added zuck wanted fb to stop allowing this to happen. He wasn’t getting anywhere with fb. So he added zuck to make a point.

You mean Facebook ought to be better than that. It’s on their webpage. Forbes did a great service and if you can’t see the forest through the trees regarding this specific instance then go sell your whine somewhere else.
