Real title: Before Trump’s Election, Amy Barrett Said She Was Worried About Both Trump And Clinton Picking SCOTUS Justices
Two points:
1) Many people were not sure about Trump before he was in office.
2) The things she said in this article, being unsure about Trump, may help her be confirmed, because they arguably make her look less ideological.

She is one of those gal judges who will "grow" and "evolve" with the role. She is full of "compassion" and "for the children".

Reagan and especially Bush nominated a lot of unknowns and we paid a price for that (oconnor Sutter). No more unknowns, when in doubt throw em out, there’s got to be a reliable conservative somewhere in all the bunch and a way to tell.

Here is a link to the full speech (55 minutes).

Might be worth watching if she gets nominated.

She may be conservative but I would prefer male. Female tends to evolve

“During a November 3rd, 2016 speech at Jacksonville University...”

This was less than a week before the election. Trump’s list had been out for quite a while. Was she ignorant or just another NeverTrumper?

I don't know much about the specifics of these people, but I do expect a pre-emptive psyops war to make Trump's most threatening choices appear to be the most unacceptable.

As with any other breaking news, I won't rely on the early reporting to have any veracity at all.

The only important requirement for SCOTUS is that the nominee has a *strong* understanding of the Constitution, that he/she accepts the legitimate powers granted to the President and the Congress and that he/she will cast *all* votes in a totally impartial way.

Scalia met those requirements...as does Thomas. And at least four absolutely do *not*.

Frankly, I was concerned about Mr. Trump too. But I was determined to prevent Felonia Von Pantsuit from taking the White House.

Now I say this, "The Donald Delivers!" On matters of policy, I love what he is doing--with some possible doubts over trade policy. But when you get right down to it, I have begun to wonder if I was being scammed for years about the true nature of our trade agreements (just like I was lied to about so many other things). Mr. Trump is more credible than the Uniparty Elites right now.

7 children, if that means anything, and to me, IT DOES....CBN had this article on her, says many Evangelicals like her, I was skeptical of her at first like many here...now, she is seemingly more solid.

Lists possible nominees (females).

I’d go Britt Grant from Georgia, she’s already ruled against PP, it’s probably in her blood, get someone from the Deep South in there.

Allison Eid and Joan Larsen also look good, just scanning the info....I don’t know much else except what is written at the website.

Before4 the election - having some doubts about the choice between Clinton and Trump.

Lots and LOTS of people were in that category. Between Labor Day and the election they had to choose, and most broke for Trump. I was in that category too, but always knew I would NEVER vote for Hillary. Once that decision was in, I simply listened to DJT, and decided that I could support him with some enthusiasm. Now my enthusiasm is mostly unending.

I know this will sound sexist, but no women nominees please. They crumble during confirmation hearings or turn into mush once on the bench. She would be the only so-called conservative on the bench if confirmed, and my fear is she would eventually be “converted” by the lesbian and the Latina.

No thanks. Give me a staunch conservative (male) with a history of writing that underpin his thinking. No touchy-feely BS.
