They will vote for survival. Remember the Senators are feathering their nests. Can’t interrupt that.

Kavanaugh will get at least 55 votes for confirmation. The Progressives/Socialists/Communists can bitch and moan, but Judge Kavanaugh will become Justice Kavanaugh.

Sorry if it wasn't clear...what I wrote is my dramatization of what Chucky has said in private. There is NO WAY this guy would EVER say something like this publicly or probably in a room with someone who could make a recording of it.

Schumer's job isn't to halt this nomination. His job is to facilitate the Dems' acquisition, maintenance, and consolidation of power to further the "fundamental transformation" of America into a European-ish country with better movies. Hence my dramatization...

...though I think I'm pretty close to what this guy thinks and the operations of DNC types who say one thing but act another way.

Yep, Schumer’s job is to decide which Senators get to “take one for the team” and vote for Kavanaugh.

The Freeper was just laying out a Kabuki Theater scenario. It was not meant to be taken literally.

They understand they’re not about to lose their power and perks just because Chuckie tells them to take one for the team.

The democrat party has become so fat and happy on the massive flow of illegal cash flowing to them since the Clinton Administration that they forgot the fundamentals.

Rule number one, if you piss off your constituents so much they actually get out and vote, the democrat in office won't be the democrat who wins the election. True, it may be a different democrat, but the hog that gets shoved away from the pig trough doesn't care that the party is still doing fine, the hog cares that it's no longer getting a share of the illegal cash.

A consolation prize position is all well and good, in fact, all bureaucrats can aspire to. But it's not in the mainstream of the corruption the way a Senator or Congressman is, not by a long shot.

When your party isn't the majority, little things like constituents that don't usually matter, become even more important which is why several of these democrat bastards are going to vote for whoever Trump nominates and then go hat in hand to McTurtle asking to be remembered when passing out goodies to take home to their State are under consideration.

It's almost, but not quite, to the "every man for himself" stage and if the socialist liar from the Bronx actually wins the election and heads to DC that'll be the last straw. There won't be a democrat block then, there will be several democrat factions.

If the scum sucking Republicans can get even a half way decent replacement for Ryan they'll be able to play those factions off against one another for thirty years. Given the history of the Republicans in Congress, though, they'll probably successfully play them off against one another for four or five years then start cowering before whichever faction has the most jerks like Maxine on TV all the time.

If rats were smart they’d pass this guy then hold their ammo for the next one. Make them look more balanced.

“Democratic leaders had removed the filibuster for other federal judgeships in 2013 to confirm President Barack Obama’s nominees to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, which was prompted by GOP obstruction that followed extensive Democratic filibustering of President George W. Bush’s nominees to federal judgeships.”

Note that the above is NEVER reported by our so-called ‘mainstream’ media outlets. They only mention (correctly) that Republicans removed the filibuster for Supreme Court justices in 2017.

This is a TEXTBOOK case of how the media uses OMISSIONS as a tool to mold public opinion to their cause...they PURPOSELY omit context and make it appear that the Republicans are using their power in the Senate to change the rules to suit their purposes.

This is why I NEVER watch their TV news.

IMHO Schumer told President Trump privately that Kavanaugh would be a go

Likely a correct assessment.

So much of what we will see in the coming weeks will all be theatrics on the part of many for the consumption of their constituents.

I believe Satan extends protection to the evil.

Ruth Ginsberg had colon cancer and pancreatic cancer, that latter is usually a sure death sentence within a few short months.

McCain already survived melanoma, again one of the worst and most aggressive cancers to get.

It's not the first rodeo for either of them. Ordinary people would be long gone. Maureen Reagan and Lee Atwater were gone within a year.

I’m sure the ten Democrats running in states that Trump won want this guy confirmed as fast as possible.

The closer the vote comes to Election Day, the worse their situation becomes. Especially if Collins OR Murkowski is a no.

If both are noes, then the Dems can all vote no without a problem.

If there was ANYONE in the dem leadership that had an ounce of brains, they would attempt some type of leverage here.
For example, Chuckie can cut a deal to quickly confirm kavanaugh with ease in exchange for a 60 yea confirmation on the next available nomination, knowing all to well its the only play they have to have a say when rbg goes.

“...though I think I’m pretty close to what this guy thinks and the operations of DNC types who say one thing but act another way.”

The problem all of them have though, is that they have to “facilitate” what they do with a pack of lies. Then they get caught up in all of them because they can’t remember which lie they told and to whom. I’d love to see Schumer spend a day in front of a House committee like Strzok just did. To not be in a position to control the conversation. That would be “pay per view” bait!

Why would it hurt swing-state Dems to vote against Kavanaugh?

Because they would appear partisan and unfair?

Because Trump is popular in swing states?

Or what?
