BERLIN (Reuters) - The European Union’s budget commissioner suggested on Wednesday the bloc would be ready to discuss mutual tariff cuts with the United States across a range of products, provided Washington lifts recent punitive tariffs first.

Trump not only has a really strong hand to play, he has most of the chips too. He’s our Bart Maverick. I’ll admit he wasn’t my first choice, but I am damned glad he got elected. Not only that, but he is driving the Dems to reveal who and what they are and it’s not a pretty picture. The “new face of the Democratic party” not only doesn’t play well in Peoria, but a lot of the coasts are “walking away” too. Recent polls on how well the Dems are doing are so much smoke.
It’s a half-blink. They still demand we cut the punitive tariffs first, then they’ll “talk”.
President Trump, I hope, will respond by insisting that the talks happen first and the cuts happen at the same time.

He is talking about America dropping the steel and aluminum tariffs NOW and they will get around to talking about reciprocal tariff changes in the fall...maybe.
But of course Reuters in their usual lefty way make the headlines sound like they are being reasonable and making concessions.
