I think the problem is that they don’t care, not that they don’t know. The goal is not to keep girls (or boys) safe. The goal is to square the circle of having both sexes use the same bathroom without it’s being an absolute free-for-all.

How many “genders” did they enumerate recently? 26 or something? Can’t recall.
Schools should pay for a uniformed monitor representing each and every gender including undecided transitionals. And a counselor for each in case they want to self-describe in a new way since last semester.
Oh except for “male and “female” , who have no rights.
When I was in high school the girls kept kissing the mirrors in the bathroom leaving lip prints everywhere. One day coach Richy stopped a handful of girls in the hallway and took them into the bathroom. Mr. Collins the janitor was waiting with his mop and bucket. Mr. Collins proceeded to mop the floor and then use the mop to clean the mirrors.
No more lipstick!
I suppose Mr. Collins’s union wouldn’t allow him to have the girls clean the mirrors themselves.
This is for one purpose only: to force the kids to think, contrary to nature, that there are not two sexes, male and female, and to make them accept the current leftist bull$hit about gender assigned at birth, spectrum of genders, bull$hit, bull$hit, bull$hit.

At the school where I work we have two gender neutral bathrooms.
Quick layout. 14 “hallways”, each hallway has a single use restroom for faculty and staff. Every other hallway has a faculty break room with a lav in it. 8 boys and 8 girls gang lavs for students.
2 of the gang lavs were converted to gender neutral at a cost of 20G per lav.
Before conversion began the maintenance dept was asked for suggestions on the project. I suggested converting half of the single use staff lavs for the project. Realistic cost about $300 to $400 each. No one in administration listened. You guessed it, liberals.
Since implementation there have been nine (that I heard of) sexual encounters between students, and two sexual assaults (again, that I heard of).
If anyone tells you they are a safe zone for both sexes, they are misinformed or liars.

May I assume, since it's a new word, that it describes something that hasn't existed before?
