Game Over? Senate Moderates Starting to Line Up Behind Kavanaugh
townhall.com ^ | 9/7/2018 | Guy Benson

The pre-hearings attacks, distortions and Hail Marys all collapsed. The table-pounding and hilarious self-owning during the hearings didn't move the needle. And now it appears as though Brett Kavanaugh is more or less a lock to become America's next Supreme Court justice. With Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats failing to land even one substantive body blow against Kavanaugh during multiple marathon sessions -- each of which was interrupted by deranged caterwauling from left-wing activists -- the writing is on the wall. Barring a seismic event, confirmation is all but assured. Let's start with two key red state Democrats whose constituents strongly favor confirmation:

Just think, un-aborted tissue masses issuing forth with guns in their tiny hands. Plastic ones with 'silencers' on them. And with no health coverage. ;-) Next, rbg with any luck. Of course it ain't over until the crazy lady sings. Difi?

I’d like to see some arrests at the WH for these friggin’ lyin’ turncoat traitors and leakers. Followed by summary executions.

Behaving like a two year old throwing a temper tantrum is not a winning strategy?

FFS. My friend Zen Master called this over a month ago, saying K would be confirmed by 54-55 votes. With Kyl, I think it’s 55-56.

Nice of Benson to finally figure out reality. Always late to the party.

The Rats are going all out on Roe v. Wade, and it is dominating their focus. Their strategy is an all-out attempt to flip Collins and Murkowski.

I would like to see the two Republican babes flip at the last second and vote against Kavenaugh...meaning that the DEMOCRATS put him over the top.

That would precious watching their ‘base’ deal with it.

I though this article would mention Joe Donnelly D-IN. If he votes against Kav, I think it will really hurt his reelection chances.

Tokyo Rose pretty much just admitted on C-Span a couple minutes ago that the Rats’ strategy is to flip Collins and Murkowski.

I hope that the senate censures Booker. What a socialist sleaze bag! As for Harris and her mind reading she needs to return to the carnival.

“Behaving like a two year old throwing a temper tantrum is not a winning strategy?”

It looked like besides being their only strategy it was demanded by the left powers that be.

From the simple folk getting paid to throw fits to the dem leaders probably also paid, if not threatened, they seemed to be trying to top each other’s hysteria. They looked like they were following orders that said ‘We know you can’t stop this but you’d better look like you tried every pathetic attempt you know.’

Wouldn’t it be perfect if just a few dems in key states voted no and tipped the balance in November, after seeing their votes wasted when Kavanaugh is confirmed?

My guess is that there’ll be at least fifty-five yes votes for Kavanaugh.

Yes, you’re right. The extreme left wing of the Dem Party continues to bring it down. Besides which, Trump continues to play to huge crowds in several key states.
