A man was arrested after allegedly attempting to stab a Republican congressional candidate with a switchblade over the weekend at in Castro Valley, according to the Alameda County Sheriffs Office.
On Sunday, September 9, at approximately 3:45 p.m., deputies working at the Castro Valley Fall Festival were alerted to a possible knife attack at one of the vendor booths.
Deputies arrived at the booth and made contact with the victim, Republican candidate Randy Peters, who is running against current Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell for a local congressional seat.
The Castro Valley News first reported on the attack.
According to witnesses, 35-year-old Castro Valley resident Farzad Fazeli approached Peters at his booth in an aggressive manner and made disparaging, profanity-laced remarks about the Republican party and President Donald Trump.

My feeling is that they didn’t have one micro-ounce of racism. With all their passions about rights, how could they?
They had to forge a document that was acceptable to all 13 original cantankerous states, so they just left some things out, like for instance the concept of property. Because at that time slaves were considered property. If they were racists, they would have included the concept, and the word. My guess, anyway.
I have an old children’s book about the Constitution that is spot-on and with very cool explanations, geared to a kid. I wonder what today’s equivalent would look like.
Arent switchblades illegal? After this they should be so it never happens again!
#9. How could rep. Eric “Swallows Well” Swalwell approve this message since he always has his mouth full of BS, ###, and whatever fits.
Eric Swalwell is one of the SLIMIEST Congress Creeps....and that is saying something.
His name sounds like a Muzzie.
Ive said it here a hundred times.
The Left hates us. They want us enslaved or dead. Theyre saying it right to our faces.
We should take them at their word and plan accordingly.

Many Iranian names have Italian sounding names... like Fazeli, or Chegini, and many others.
Dem. Rat Rep. Eric Swalwell is a real tool. He is often on Tuckers show. Good luck Randy Peters.
Creep looks like Andy Kaufman

This is against repubs only. It’s up to 564 incidents but that doesn’t include the two from yesterday. I sent them links to the two. That’ll put it at 566 and I bet it goes to 600 before mid terms and if/when Kavanaugh gets confirmed and repubs do good in mid terms, look out. It will be up to 1000. When Trump wins 2020, oh boy.
violence or threats of against the left is maybe a dozen?
My point was that switchblade sounds more awesome and dangerous than “knife”. If you get stuck all that matters is the size of the blade. And where you get stabbed, of course.
I have seen some nice LOOKING ‘Damascus’ blank blades.
Always labeled as a product of India.
Maybe they used the cheap labor across the border?
Yes, there must be some, but I’ve never seen a quality folding knife made in Pakistan.
Defintely NOT a Norwegian.
We no longer go into Starbutts. When the jackass Schultz refused to put one of his terrible coffee shops in I think it was Iraq for the troops, I said never gain and we have stuck to that never again. I have also done the never again with several. We did it to Target when they let men pretending to be women use the ladies restrooms. I said, nope, no way I am shopping there again, and we haven’t. They don’t miss us, well whatever, I don’t miss them either.
There was a kind of regular group of acquaintances at this shop. Now no one goes there.
My guess is this: They are planning to close some shops. This is one of them. But first they had to get the profit down so it looks like they are closing this one because it’s unprofitable. So they made it impossible for the regulars to go back after the “remodeling.” When they changed the rules about free loitering and free bathrooms, they killed this Starbux but still we went back, until now. At least someone has his self-virtue-signaling intact. That’s the important thing.
Andy Kaufman lives!
It makes very little difference. Abraham Lincoln said some calculatedly racist things. Harry Truman, while ordering integration in the armed forces and forbidding discrimination in federal employment, privately at one point called Adam Clayton Powell Jr. “that n—er in Congress” and in his private correspondence and conversation used the N word casually, and told many racist jokes, once complained to his wife that when staying in New York prior to deployment to France in WW I, New York was “full of kikes and wops”. Winston Churchill never cared to meet with Chiang Kai Shek, because he apparently looked down on Chinese, according to his personal physician, Lord Charles Moran.
The bottom line is that what we now call “racism” was at one point conventional, and perfectly acceptable in polite company. Furthermore, the term “racist” is overbroad, because it includes everything from a condescending attitude or an off-color joke to a cross-burning klansman participating in a lynching, with no differentiation. It doesn’t serve one of the fundamental purposes of language, to reveal one’s thoughts to others with precision.
A new term is needed. Just as we can differentiate between a mere anti-Semite and a rabid Jew-hater, we should be able to differentiate between lethal and non-lethal racism. I propose calling the former a sheet-wearing, frothing-at-the-mouth “racist” and the latter a mere “gaz’an,” from the modern Hebrew word for racist. But perhaps there is a better term that someone on this thread can think of.
Peters’ opponent, Eric Swallwell, indicated on Twatter that he is glad Mr. Peters is OK and that it is NEVER OK to use violence to settle a dispute.
