I’ve tried to use Gab. I don’t get it.

I’ve been on GAB.AI for awhile now.
They’ve been flooded by former conservative twitter users that have been either banned or censored for being conservatives.
All it would take to put the hurts on twitter would be for the POTUS to move his twitter account over to GAB.
Once these libs realize that maybe they’re not the “only show in town”, maybe they’ll smarten up....but I doubt it. Liberal insanity knows no bounds...NONE.

Gab’s hook is that there is no advertising and they are moving more toward a subscription service. A year ago, they hinted that they expected to be ‘blackballed via the banks, etc....so they were moving toward some cryptocurrency deal. I would suggest that come the summer of 2020, with the election business in full swing and absolute negativity about Facebook...Gab will be the alternate platform to use.

Gab is not the public square. Like Free Republic, it is strictly a mechanism for like-minded people to communicate with one another. Twitter, unlike Gab and FR, can be used to reach the general public.

Yep. On my alt-media list, look at the percentage of commentators and news sources who have backup accounts on alt-tech sites like BitChute and Gab.

There is that, but things have to come a point where there are very many conservatives over there. Every time I return, there seem to be more users.

I would say it’s almost a Twitter, but conservative.

I get amazing links from Gab that otherwise I might not see here at FR.

I would admonish ALL HERE to join.

(ps - I have no Facebook account, richly loathe Zuckerberg, etc.)

I just checked it out. Going to try it fir a while and see if I can use it right or not. After being here since the “Day’s of the Great Hanging Chad” I’m so used to FR it is difficult for Me to use other Sites.

Well, all the rah-rah convinced me, so I attempted to join. Upon completing the form and clicking the button to join, nothing happened. That screen just sat there. It won’t let me log on, nor will it let me re-register; name and password “TAKEN”. And no means of talking to anyone there to solve the problem.
