Grassley is the embodiment of middle American decency. He’s just being Grassley. He’s a nice guy and he’s cutting a lady some slack. At the same time, he’s not stupid and in fact is very shrewd. He gets the optics of all this.

What’s all the hubbub here? The hearing will be conducted on Monday regardless of her decision. If THAT (the meeting) doesn’t happen then I’d be screaming too but until then let’s give the rats all the rope they need to hang themselves. I say good play and Hannity said as such last night.
