President Trump has assured that preexisting conditions will be covered.

President Trump doesn't write the legislation. He just signs it.

but the latest Fox News Poll shows that the most important topic to most voters in the upcoming election is healthcare

Your solution then, is to accept the premise of a problem that was initally created by federal government intervention and exacerbated by Obamacare?

I've seen seems to be some poor soul with some preexisting medical condition who is having trouble finding affordable insurance after Obamacare

What about the poor souls who were happy with their coverage and lost it under Obamacare? Or the young people paying fines? Or the charity groups who said, screw this s--t, I'm not going to help poor people if the gubmint is going to stick it's grimy paws in it?

Quite often it wasn't.

Actually, it was more often than not. The ER cannot turn down patients. Many people with pre-existing conditions used the ER to get immediate treatment.

The cost of which their insurance may or may not have covered since it was a pre-existing condition

They HAVE to get treated regardless if they have insurance or not at the ER. And any follow-up treatment will get paid for by Medicaid/Medicare/state healthcare programs or the taxpayer.

This pre-existing coverage is typical, left-wing talking points designed to get Republicans to accept the premise that they need to DO SOMETHING to "reign in" healthcare costs. Don't fall for this dookey sandwich. Healthcare costs are high because of Obamacare and massive gov't intervention in healthcare.

However, if President Trump says it will be there, trust me, it will be, or he won't sign it. Already in ACA. So until that is repealed & replaced there is no danger of it being taken away.

BTW, I am well aware of how are government works, and have know for several decades. But thanks.

Trump wants to find a solution - on the flip side, there will be a lot of idiots pissed at him for doing so....they have their dreams and delusions which do not fit the reality of the current world.

People with preexisting conditions prior to Obamacare could not get insurance without having group employee coverage.

I've heard radio ads for a faith based "MediShare" program which, to hear them tell it, is much less costly than typical medical insurance. I don't know what their policy is on preexisting conditions though.

Agree. Democrats, not Republicans, took health care away from every single American in one day.

They all voted with Nany "We have to pass it to see what's in it" Pelosi to throw every citizen with health coverage off of their plans. They could not "keep their doctors" . Premiums did not go down, they skyrocketed causing more people to lose their coverage.

The most sickening part is that this is exactly what they wanted.

They wanted Obamacare to fail. It was designed to fail so that Americans, amid the INTENTIONAL infliction of CHAOS and MISERY that would occur as Obamacare collapsed, would then BE FORCED TO BEG THE DEMOCRATS FOR SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE.

(This is healthcare like they have in Britain-where a family raises enough of their own money for their sick baby 'Alfie Evans' to be cared for, and even have a hospital in another country ready to care for and fly the baby to the new hospital- but his mom and dad can't save him, because the government orders that the baby be killed. And his parents were forced to watch helplessly as this happened. The government even sent police to make sure that the baby would not be rescued.)

This is the type of "health care" they wanted to FORCE on U.S. citizens.

Let that sink in before anyone votes .
