Rush has been partially or totally wrong with every election since 2008, when he decided that he’d unhorse Hillary with Operation Chaos. This was his plan wherein Republicans would crossover during open Democrat primaries to ensure that Barack Obama would be the Democrat candidate. He assumed that the Democrats would never vote for a black man over Hillary.
We all know what happened next.
Rush still hasn’t finished paying for *that* particular screwup IMHO.
But how much influence did Rush really have on the Dem primaries? Maybe more a case of rejecting Hillary(can you blame them)?
I recall Rush goal was to prolong that Democrat primary. HRC had practically lost.

Operation Chaos began with Rush exhorting his listeners to crossover in the spring primaries to vote for Hillary -- not Bobo -- in order to keep the CHAOS of the '08 primary going to the Democrat Convention.
Rush engaged TX, OH, PA, MS, IN, NC voters in particular to give Hillary a primary win in those states when it looked like Bobo had a chance to put her away in the same timeframe.
