Her other kids were thrilled when she brought 8lbs 4oz newborn baby Bonnie back to the family's ten-bedroom converted care home

Sue, 43, welcomed Bonnie Raye into her king-sized clan after a 12-minute labour.

She said: “I thought I’d need more than gas and air but there wasn’t any time.” Her other kids were thrilled when she brought 8lb 4oz Bonnie back to the family’s ten-bedroom converted care home in Morecambe, Lancs.

Sue said: “They were all fighting over the first cuddle. It’s such a lovely moment when you bring a newborn home and the others are all lined up ready to hold her.” Her baker husband Noel, 47, said: “I don’t think anyone sets out thinking they’ll have 21 children. We thought we’d have three."

Congrats to you!

I came from a family of 10 kids. My parents could not afford to do ANY college. For those of us who did go to college we paid for it ourselves.

It was much easier before the Feds got involved. My first stint at the University of Texas was $45 per hour. I left college with no debt.

They owned over a thousand acres which is a large farm in Florida. Of course the children grew up working very hard.

Mother was the youngest Daughter and had to see all her siblings and parents die. I still remember when Grandpa Mac died. Mother went into a closet and just cried and cried.

Blackburn has 4000 holes, Morecambe has a 21 child supermum, Lancashire sounds like a really hopping place. I believe my ancient ancestors live there ten+ generations ago.

That’s sad. I guess my Kathleen will be in that situation, too. Even if we all have above-average longevity, she’s likely to outlive most or all.

She was probably looking forward to seeing that baby.
You made me misty. My grandmother lost a little brother when she was a little girl.
She was very excited about seeing him in heaven when she was at her earthly end.

One of my friends told me that when her husband was dying, he talked about a kitten who had died in a domestic accident, long ago in Spain. In Spanish (he’d forgotten how to speak English), he said, “Soon I will see my little kitten again!”

I was in a store a few days ago and was passing the toy aisle. There was a girl with 7 little boys. I would guess the oldest was maybe 11 or so. Someone had dropped a package which would have blocked my cart but the oldest picked it up for me.

She was not particularly pretty but looked healthy. The kids were really handsome. I mean cute as they could be.

The woman has been off and on pregnant for 29 years.

God bless her. I couldn’t do just one.

I count 20 people in the photo, so three of their children aren’t there, presumably the oldest, who have their own homes.

According to Wikipedia, Susanna Wesley was the youngest of 25 children of her parents (no remarriages). It doesn’t say how many of her siblings survived infancy, but her mother, Mary White, must have had remarkable stamina.

My paternal Grandmother raised all 9 of hers to adulthood.

I had noticed that both Mother and Daddy were personable and liked being around people. Maybe because they were used to being around a lot of siblings.
