Trump Forces Chuck and Nancy to Debate Him in Front of America, They Didn't Like It

For the first time since the 2018-midterm elections, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi met with President Trump at the White House Tuesday.

Their meeting was originally supposed to be closed press, but that all changed when the White House press pool was invited into the Oval Office to broadcast their remarks.

President Trump started the meeting by thanking Pelosi and Schumer for showing up and made his case for additional border security.

"I am proud to shut down the government over border security," Trump said. "I will take the mantle."

"They're pouring into our country. We have to have border security. We have to have a wall," he continued.

After some back and forth with the Democrat leaders, Pelosi started to panic and said they should not continue in front of the press.

"I don't think we should have a debate in front of the press on this," Pelosi said.

"Its called transparency Nancy," Trump shot back.

President Trump then continued, leading Schumer to later argue the same.

"Let's debate, let's debate in private," he pleaded. "We shouldn't shut down the government over a dispute, and you want to shut it down."

Here is the full exchange:

After the meeting, Pelosi and Schumer ran to the cameras outside of the West Wing and further slammed President Trump's position.

"He will get no wall and he will get a shutdown," Schumer said. "This temper tantrum that he seems to throw will not get him his wall."

Trump’s been taking a stand more then anyone else in U.S. history regarding this issue and others. It appears you simply missed it all.

Big Tuna made a comment about it being their (congress) job to legislate. Well unbeknownst to most people in the legislature - There are already laws on the books concerning immigration, and many of those laws over the years have been sidestepped by past administrations which should never have happened. previous administrations have chosen not to follow the laws that were put in place by Congress. That is the problem. We would not be where we are today if cognizant sidestepping had never occurred.

If it showed anything it’s that Pelosi and Schumer don’t respect Trump and they don’t fear him. Neither do Ryan and McConnell. If Trump doesn’t shut the government down this time then that isn’t going to change.

“the President, especially this one, can control the narrative. Let him start dropping bombs on Twitter about all the murder and mayhem caused by illegals and they won’t have a chance but to talk about it, even if they try to spin it, they’ll still have to talk about it”

A popular Indianapolis Colts player was killed last year by a drunk-driving illegal from Mexico.

Most people in Indy STILL do not know that the killer was an illegal, because the local media DID NOT EVEN DARE TO MENTION IT.

Scott Adams said that it was like watching Trump beat baby harp seals with a club. Totally owned them. Wonderful! Balls of steel!

On this issue whoever has the best powers of persuasion and has the most votes — wins. Besides Trump there are not many pubs saying much about a wall. It is kind of Trump out there not quite alone but almost alone.

Pence is too nice, not really cut out for the political rough and tumble like Trump is. The truth often doesn’t get spoken because people want to be “nice”. This is not a criticism of Pence, the balance he brings is good.
