The young 29 year old of North African descent, but born in the French city, fired at a Christmas market. He later collided with the security forces. He is wounded. Six injured are in serious condition.
Cherif, 29 years old, born in Strasbourg, but of North African origins, the attacker who killed three people last night in the French city and wounded 12 others. Cherif was reportedly radicalized during one of his periods in prisons and was listed as dangerous on police records. In fact security forces had wanted to arrest him just yesterday morning for involvement in a robbery with murder, but the police did not find him in his home. This is what is known until now of the young man who is still on the run, following a shootout with the police during which he was injured.
The attack took place yesterday evening around 8pm (local time) at one of the Christmas markets, near the central Place Kléber.
It appears to have been a terrorist attack, even if the reasons are not yet clear. At least six of the injured people are in very serious conditions.

Typically, Macron and three-hundred different political figures meet, and do some hand-in-hand walk down some wide boulevard. For some reason, with the ‘Yellow Jackets’ in their current anger....I don’t think that hug-my-French-President thing will happen.
If anything, it really makes a mess that no French political figure can talk about in public.

Seriously, I wonder what it will really take to wake up western civilization. Personally I have hedged my bets. I moved to a very diverse rural area. Half my neighbors are white gun owning Christians, the other half are white non gun owning Christians.

There’s around thirty bits of information if you comb French/German press coverage on this guy. At sixteen, he completed schooling....no apprenticeship...was under-educated and odds of success in life was zero (that 13 years ago). Over the past six years....he’s had a total 4.5 years in some jail or prison (in France and Germany). Has not held a job since 2011...yet the government can’t explain what he was doing other than traveling around the countryside.
Based on what I’ve read...he was a small-time thug attached to some mafia group...probably robbery and drug-courier activity mostly. This was his death-by-cop routine.
I see no surprise. The terrorist is left free to act. Then he escapes, while the city is put under lockdown by police and paramilitary. Another scripted exercise to remind the serfs of their new status in the new Europe.
Will the froggies ever get it, outside of a relative handful of `les gilets jaunes’?
