The world wants us to forget about the Christ in Christmas. It wants us to remove the nativity scenes, the beautiful carols, the focus on the Savior, and the true meaning of the celebration. And it wants us to become entangled in all the busyness that keeps us from lifting our eyes to the One Who changed the world forever. But we are not of this world. We belong to You, Lord God, and Your heavenly kingdom. Help us to not yield to the temptations to forget You. Help us not to conform to this world, but to be transformed as we renew our minds in You and in Your Word. Give us the strength and the desire to overcome evil with good.
Grant peace to our President and his family. So much turmoil is exacted against him. Help him to know that he is never alone because You are with him. Help him to focus on You always---worshiping You, praising You, seeking Your wisdom, and abiding in Your presence. Bless our military men and women with a special measure of comfort and peace. Please send people to share the love of Christ with them no matter where they are.
Over 2000 years ago our Lord Jesus left the beauty and majesty of heaven to come and dwell with us here on this earth; and the impact of His life, death, and resurrection shall remain forever. Father, let the spirit of Christmas be stirred in us all, that we may share His great love with as many as You place before us. In this world that seems cold and dark at times, we pray that others would see Jesus in us through our words and our deeds. Make us instruments of Your peace each day. In the Name of our Precious Savior we pray, Amen.

Lord, we ask that grant this, our prayer, for our beleaguered Nation and it’s servants. continue to forgive, humble and direct us, Your people. thank You and bless You Father and Spirit. in Jesus Holy Name. Amen.
