Which brings me to Elizabeth Warren’s commencement address last Friday at Morgan State University in Baltimore. It sounded just like . . . a Trump stump speech.
To an audience of nearly 500 new graduates and their families at the historically black college, the Massachusetts senator laid out a bleak vision of America. “The rules are rigged because the rich and powerful have bought and paid for too many politicians,” she said. “The rich and powerful want us pointing fingers at each other so we won’t notice they are getting richer and more powerful,” she said. “Two sets of rules: one for the wealthy and the well-connected. And one for everybody else,” she said.
“That’s how a rigged system works,” she said.
It was a curious vision coming from a person whose life story, like that of tens millions of Americans who have risen far above their small beginnings, refutes her own thesis. It was curious, also, coming from someone who presumably believes that various forms of rigging are required to un-rig past rigging. Affirmative action in college admissions and aggressive minority recruitment in corporations are also forms of “rigging.”
But however one feels about various types of rigging, the echo of Trump was unmistakable. “It’s being proven we have a rigged system,” the president said at one of his rallies last year. “Doesn’t happen so easy. But this system — gonna be a lot of changes. This is a rigged system.”

Truth is a “concept” to the left.
Warren is a non starter... though I am sure Trump would love her to be the nominee, because she would be CRUSHED... but she has ZERO shot at the nomination... nor does Booker or Harris or Beto... or nearly any other name you hear being dropped.
The only thing that could take out Trump would be an economic collapse, and it seems like the Fed is bound and determined to create one.....
We see the economy slowing but we are still going to raise rates for a 4th time this year... WTF?

About the only name being bandied about that I would dismiss right now is Joe Biden. For two reasons, he would be 78 upon taking office for his first term and I just can’t see the Dems electing an old white guy to run against Trump.
The only reason I don’t put Bernie in this category (old white guy) is because he is Jewish and so he can pull the minority card that way (I don’t get it why Jews are somehow considered minorities. They are as white as me) and he has a very strong following among youngsters. He’s a hip old white guy to them. Hey, socialism is hip to the youngsters.
Warren has been planning this for a while. She may have missed her chance. I think she could have definitely beat Hitlery in 2016. The left doesn’t care about her fake Native American claims, she’s a woman and she has a following and an organization. She can win the Democratic nomination.
Yes, I should have said any advancement in her career is over. She can sit in that seat in Massachusetts until the Navajo rules the earth.

One of the worst NYT opinion pieces ever written in terms of logic. But the New York Slimes is no longer about logic or fairness. It’s about two things: saving its own failing business and destroying POTUS Trump.
