President Donald Trump defended his controversial military draw-down in Syria during a surprise trip to Iraq on Wednesday, telling American soldiers stationed in the war-torn country that the U.S. military is no longer the laughingstock of the world.
“We’re no longer the suckers, folks,” Trump told troops at the Al Asad Airbase in western Iraq while gushing about the genius of his military pullout in neighboring Syria. “We’re respected again as a nation.”

“I made it clear from the beginning that our mission in Syria was to strip ISIS of its military strongholds,” Trump told soldiers dressed in fatigues during a hanger rally. “Eight years ago, we went there for three months and we never left. Now we’re doing it right and we’re going to finish it off.”

Obama destroyed ISIS by publishing his target list beforehand as a humanitarian effort to reduce collateral casualties...trouble is the ISIS jihadis left long before the innocents, who were often strapped , chained and tied to Obama’s published targets. Yet that worthless huckster Obama never changed his so called humanitarian bombing policies, even when Hussein knew US bombs were killing Kurdish, Yazhidi and Christian hostages in masses. Obama actually conducted the war on ISIS in a way to help them.

In reference to ISIS, this is THE MOST DANGEROUS AOR he could have visited in Iraq or Syria!
No wonder there was no announcement of going there!
SERIOUSLY DUMBTARD CHALLENGED MEDIA!
1. This type of trip had to have been carefully planned out, well in advance, even more than most trips, PERIOD!
2. This trip could not have taken place, at what most truly dumbtard leftists would have suspected on Christmas Eve or Christmas itself, as they would have literally tried to lend all of their efforts to get our President killed.
Just look at the various left wing sites all over the net. They literally tried to track the president, and ascertain where he was going, so as to get the word out to put him in danger! These are truly anti-American, anti-liberty, anti-moral, blood thirsty killers, bent on total destruction and elimination of all who will fight for what is right and good, and moral. This is the self prescribed anti-God, humanistic, socialist, enemy within our gates, we really face today.
Iraq is far less secure overall today, than when we had full scale CENTCOM operations conducted from the Al Fah Palace in Baghdad, and Super Bases in Iraq.
As well, this was symbolic to ISIS, as their last murderous strongholds are largely in the Anbar Province of Iraq, of which Al Assad Air Base is the gatekeeper.
In visiting Al Assad, Trump just visited a location which is close to remaining ISIS strongholds! THIS IS PLAIN GUTSY! And it sends a message to ISIS, and potentially to the regional leaders to who is at the helm!
There may well be a bigger context with this visit than what most are seeing.

PRESIDENT TRUMPS VISIT TO AL ASSAD AIR BASE, IS AN EXCLAMATION POINT AND SYMBOLIC OF WHAT HE HAS DONE TO ISIS!
While there are other ISIS strongholds north of the Euphrates and north of Al Assad Air Base, **there is a wadi which extends in a general westerly direction from Al Assad Air Base, all the way to Jordan. It is from locations adjacent to, and inside this wadi, with its karst topography, caves, tunnels, box canyons, and slot canyons, from which ISIS hides out. I believe, President Trump just showed them he is not afraid, and his forces are coming after them. And he did it just after they reportedly slaughtered more than 1300 hostages, refugees, and aid workers.
Add to this American symbology, real Iranian hegimonic activity in the region, and Russian and Syrian forces at the Iraqi border, this was gutsy! Most presidents would probably act according to the advice I am sure he received, and not visit under these conditions.
Of course, being that his visit was a success, the mass media and press is highly unlikely to say anything about how dangerous this was, unless to criticize it for being foolish.
This is a truly dangerous area, and this visit was GUTSY!
