I’ve noticed many pundits, in the fallout from the Covington boys vs. the Native American incident, saying that the kids shouldn’t have worn MAGA hats. I’ve seen it said over and over, mainly by people walking back previous vicious comments about the boys and trying to balance it by now saying “well, they shouldn’t have been wearing the hats.”
Others have chimed in, too, for example this member of Congress. I kid you not:

But however many wore them, it’s stunning that we’ve gotten to the point that wearing a hat in support of a president and making America great is considered a provocation to violence and trouble, and something that should not be done.
It is something like telling Jews in France (or anywhere else) not to wear their skullcaps, although of course a religion is different than a political hat. But both are public statements about a belief (or in the case of religious Jews, an identity and a belief). In Europe, that’s what it’s come to:

When civility has broken down and hatred is being fanned, it’s dangerous to wear any symbol that offends anyone.
I have one from the caucus in Iowa but have been pretty much afraid to wear it.
Wear it with pride.
I don’t wear hats, (I still have all my hair), never have.
IF I did, I’d wear it proudly and would have knocked that stupid drum out of the hands of that stolen valor Indian.
And as a religion, they take their beliefs on faith so don't waste your time with facts.
I’d really like to see that Yahoo try to pass a bill outlawing MAGA hats, for teens or anyone else.
Hello yldstrk. If you live in a state with CCW (which Iowa has), I recommend getting one and carrying a weapon of your choice. If not, buy police grade pepper spray. In either case, you must be prepared to use it.

Actually a MAGA bumper sticker will do it for some people!
Loading groceries in my car, and a crazed woman comes out of nowhere screaming and yelling at me because of my slightly faded 2016 MAGA bumper sticker!!....She yelled at me nonstop until a security guard walked up.
Sooo, time to update it to my 2020 one!

I bought my MAGA hat yesterday and look forward to it being delivered so I can wear it in the most liberal areas where I live. I will not cower to these horrible leftists and I look forward to being doxxed.............................
We don’t have too many liberal problems where I live but when I wear my MAGA hat, you can bet I am wearing my shooting irons. These left wing attacks fully demonstrate the why and the need for the 2nd Amendment individual right which defends the others in the Bill of Rights.
I’m thinking let’s gather a group of Army Rangers, Green Berets, Recon Marines and Navy SEALs, give ‘em all a MAGA hat to wear and take a walk through Berkely, San Francisco, Greenwich Village or almost anywhere in DC.
