Clearly you didnt click through. She sued Obama over his bathroom rules.
She sees the obsession over T as obliterating the unique grouping heretofor known as women. She clearly believes a man who identifies as a women cannot claim to be a leabian like this fellow on the Baltimore civil rights thing.
They are waking up to Phyllis Schafleys argument against the ERO, equal rights amendment , in the 1970s. She argued it would wipe out the unique protections of women and have unintended consequences like making them eligible for the draft.
Amazing how progressive conservatives have been in framing issues. That was forty years ago and Bill Clintons impeachment for lying under oath, etc preceded #metoo and #timesup by thirty years. /s
Neither am I, and always thought I understood Venn diagrams!
But perhaps here are a few dots ...
* feminists decide they are entitled to special privileges because of their sex.
* sexually confused people redefine "sex" (XX or XY) as "gender", which is based not on chromosomes but on "feelings".
* some male persons decide their "feelings" tell them they are wymmen.
* they then claim the right to invade wymmen space.
* and the winner is: ... the Law of Unintended Consequences.
Ta da!
Its not a Venn overlap. Its a hierarchy of whom gets to play the victim card.
Muslims>trans>gay>First Americans(aka Indians)>blacks>women>Hispanic(degreed in accordance with melanin, Cubans at lowest level, unless black)>Asians>atheist>Jews who reject their faith>catholic(but only Catholics who reject their faith for liberalism>white males (including serious Catholics and any Protestant) Jews who embrace their faith and Israelis.
Exceptions: any member of any group that is a conservative drops to the level of Jews who embrace their faith.
Sounds like she is a TERF. They detest gender confused types. And the feeling is mutual. Put them in a room together and the fight’s on.
It is amazing to me that most of the comments here are stupendously dumb. Many radical feminists and radical lesbians have been fighting the transgender movement for years - they have blogs and chat rooms devoted to the topic going back at least ten years.
If conservatives can’t keep up with trends on the common sense left - and can’t occasionally make common cause with them - how do we ever expect to beat the crazies?
Okay, I guess that counts as "mansplaining" a lesbian/transgender feud.
I lived through that scenario. It was in the midst of the debate over the Equal Rights Amendment, and then the Iran Hostage Crisis happened.
Jimmy Carter, an honest if flawed president, thereupon proposed to reintroduce the draft, and proposed to make it gender neutral.
Shock! Horror! All the vociferous feminists who had been demanding equal rights suddenly turned on a dime, and denounced the idea that equal rights implied equal responsibilities.
O that day, the ERA died. On that day, feminism revealed its evil heart.
This is exactly right and key to stopping the transgender movement.
Heard something like this secondhand, from an oldschool acquaintance who decided to make the switch (and he was, uh, not attractive as a man either) -- said that lesbians say, "once a ****, always a ****." That ruined his plans, he wanted to be a woman so he could become a lesbian. Need I mention that he came from a really screwed up family?.
Seems like an interesting article, will read at home, thanks for posting.
“If conservatives cant keep up with trends on the common sense left...”
If we accede to calling “radical feminists” and “radical lesbians” the “common sense left”, then the war is already over.
Non transgender women is about to be a double protected group. They will be protected as a woman and non transgender women.
No, it’s not - but that is a typically conservative freeper “what’s the use of trying?” kind of attitude.
The first limiting factor now is that there are vanishingly few transgendered people, and even fewer who are highly competitive athletes. BUT: if female professional athletes ever started making big bucks, this would change overnight. Plenty of second tier men, especially the homosexual men, who can't make a pro roster in men's sports would be happy to announce as trans, at least for the duration of an athletic career, if the pay was right. Given that surgery is no longer required -- and even the requirement for hormonal dosing is under attack -- there would be no shortage of men who would chase the money.
The second limiting factor is that women's sports don't have a great public following. The public perception will shift dramatically when trans women start competing in, and dominating, sports that a lot of people actually care about. I would expect this to happen first in golf or tennis, where female champions do earn some change. Will the public stand for a bearded "lady" winning women's Grand Slam tennis events or LPGA tournaments? I don't think so.
The most popular women's team sport is soccer, where the USWNT is perennially among the world's best. It has a healthy fan base, and soccer will probably be the first women's professional team sport to become really successful financially. (The WNBA is a pure subsidy league.) It's bad enough to have sexually confused boys winning a scattering of high school state titles in competitions that no one watches aside from parents and boyfriends. But I do not think fans will accept players like Rose Lavelle, Alex Morgan, Christen Press or Mallory Pugh being cut to make room for female impersonators.
I think i got that, well played and a tribute to your namesake, sir!

Well thought out response!
I think the gays are getting jealous of the attention the Trans agenda is getting.
Ok, go ahead and make your concessions to the radicals (who still want to destroy us, even if they disagree with some other faction of radicals) and see how that turns out then.
As Grandma Fontaine used to say: take advantage of them by joining forces in times of need and then kick the trash aside. Too many people in government forget about kicking trash aside.
But I repeat: these female gay radicals knew what was up before the average conservative had his pants on.
