The American ice dancer is not just the first female skater to come out during her competitive career, but alongside skating partner Joe Johnson, part of the first ice dance team with two LGBTQ competitors.
As they take the ice Friday at the 2019 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Detroit, Manta and Johnson will challenge the norms that have long governed the sport. But will their new openness impact their scores?

I’ve never watched. But this seems to be important to them.

So we are making history, because they are both homosexual???
Is this going to be used as some sort of big step forward for homosexual rights????
Is ESPN going to shove them down our throats, regardless of where they finish in competitions, because homosexuality is more important than any athletic achievement???

The only figure skating I'll watch is attractive,talented women (normal ones) in short skirts.Male figure skaters are fags who should stick to interior decorating.

Maybe that will happen eventually. The skaters will be introduced by where they place their penises, since that appears to be of utmost importance.
