McSally got beat by Sinema, who was a terrible candidate (and will be a terrible Senator). She got her appointed seat as a Participation Trophy.
Is there no Republican in Arizona who can do better than that?

It’s hard to believe, but the 2020 Arizona US Senate race is still a Special Election to permanently fill McCain’s seat. IMHO Governor Ducey’s calculus for choosing McSally was that, as a piss-poor campaigner, McSally would lose the 2020 special election to whatever ‘RAT was put up and that Ducey in 2022 would run against that ‘RAT upon the end of his governorship.
That’s pretty selfish of Ducey...Ward, who’s a good campaigner who thinks quickly on her feet, would have been a far better person to name to fill the seat.
Maybe he should wave the application from that straw gun purchase he tried to make, perfect credentials for a gun grabber.
His twin brother will probably have it worse since he spent WAY more time in orbit than his UPOS brother.

It’s going to be interesting as the AZ GOP just elected Kelli Ward as head of the party. McSally has better get out there and get some exposur. Was she even at the SOTU ? She won’t go on our local Tucson radio even when she was our rep.
I hope someone has archived that footage. Kelly should be asked about it & the footage shown as a response to whenever he opens his mouth!
I would think that with her permanent injuries, Kelly has all he can handle in taking proper care of her.

John Gizzi alluded to that in a 2016 column that Glenn had been a Republican who was being courted by legendary OH GOP Chairman Ray Bliss (presumably to take down the elderly freshman left-wing Dem nutter Sen. Stephen Young for 1964), but Glenn was successfully lobbied by JFK to come over to the Dems and challenge a very vulnerable Young intra-party (but was forced to drop out after he suffered his freak accident that damaged his ear, though he remained on the ballot).

Mr. Giffords is a real SOB, “Look at me, my wife was shot and I’ve been in outer space therefore I’m a hero!!!!!”. Good news is he’s refusing corporate money so he should be underfunded. And some entitled Latino might challenge him in the primary.
People trying to bury McSally need to relax (and stop pretending Ward wouldn’t have lost by 20 points). She “lost” by a whisker in a bad year to the best candidate the rats had. There isn’t gonna be much ticket splitting, she’s only likely lose if Trump is failing to carry AZ.
Yours is probably the true story. I was like 9 years old at the time. I was repeating what I heard my parents & their “Republican” friends say. Their story did fit what few facts I knew.
