Former Massachusetts governor Bill Weld told an audience in New Hampshire Friday that he will try to take on President Trump in the 2020 Republican presidential primary, offering the first high-profile challenge to the presidents reelection effort.
Weld, 73, said he would seek to determine over the coming months if he can raise enough money to continue his challenge of the president. He said he would run on a traditional Republican agenda of fiscal responsibility and provide a stylistic contrast to Trump.

Mitt Romney Jr.????? Without the business experience and an even more washed up politician?
Ultimate RINO from Smithtown NY.
Weld will be like a gnat. Mildly annoying but really nothing to worry about.
Is this the best the RINO wing of the party can do?
He’s a stalking horse for Milt.

Campaigning, like crime, pays!
This guy must know he doesn’t have a chance. Looking for another minute in the spotlight I guess.
He was so good for MA his first term. Went wacko like the rest of the GOP pols in MA. Seriously alcoholic, less than zero threat to Trump.
Sounds like a good retirement plan.
Old money. Signers of the Declaration descendant (William Floyd). After being governor of Massachusetts he tried for governor of NY and failed.
Hmm, might help make DEMS look like total loons
Roflol - well that will be over before it begins !
The 2020 Martin O’Malley nothing more.
He will be right up there with Zorro the Cockroach and the other 600 plus people currently running.
Guy is a joke. Don’t bother dude.
Let's give it back to the King.
Haha, you wrote EXACTLY what I was thinking. A Drunk.
Definitely a better governor than Mittens, think something happened to him when he jumped into the Charles River, never been the same.
