I’m just guessing, but the two cabinet officials were probably Sessions and Mattis. The Senate ought to drag this out and have the two officials named, and force them to give testimony. If it’s Sessions....I suspect he was preparing this coup episode shortly after the election.

Were there two cabinet members who were compromised? Or who might be complicit in other activities they could be blackmailed over? How badly were they doing in their positions and in danger of being canned?
Just consider, there well may be more to this than what is implied by anonymous “sources”.

Well, I hope (assuming the story to be true) that the two are among those who have already been fired.
And that they will be kept away from any of the halls of power forevermore.
And that eventually they will be known to the public and live in disgrace for the rest of their lives.
And would it be too much to hope that they will be caught in some actual crimes and see some serious prison time?
