Broward County, FL election head Brenda Snipes is back in the news, as a former candidate who ran against Debbie Wasserman Schultz in the 2016 Democratic primary wondered aloud in a tweet why the Department of Justice never prosecuted her for illegally destroying paper ballots from the race.
Tim Canova got only 43% of the vote in that primary, but he challenged the results in court. While the case was being decided, Canova requested that Broward County hand over the thousands of paper ballots that had been cast. When Brenda Snipes' office refused, he sued - only to find out later that Snipes had destroyed the ballots in direct violation of federal law and Florida state law.
Sun-Sentinel: Canova, who was checking for voting irregularities in the race, sought to look at the paper ballots in March 2017 and took Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes to court three months later when her office hadnt fulfilled his request. Snipes approved the destruction of the ballots in September, signing a certification that said no court cases involving the ballots were pending. Snipes called the action a mistake during testimony she gave in the case, saying the boxes were mislabeled and there was nothing on my part that was intentional about destroying the contested ballots.

Uh, why? BIG D-protecto shield
DemocRATS always walk.
The better question that should appear in the title is, why hasnt the DOJ done anything of judicial value since the election of President Trump?
Ask Beauregard.
DemocRATS always walk.

As 1968 presidential candidate Nelson Rockefeller used to say to exuberant crowds on the campaign trail:
Yass yass yass!
You are right.
Brown ovaries - the ultimate get-out-of-jail-free card.
The only thing more iron clad would be if she was an LGBTQer as well.
I read she was going to fight her firing. Don’t know if that’s still going on or not. But it’s possible that they gave her the option that if she dropped the lawsuit, they’d drop the charges against her. Wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened.
Why? Because laws are only for the chumps, not them.
The DoJ is a corrupt piece of garbage.

That paragraph is quite the word teaser. I had to read it many times to figure out who the tweet was from. If might have been a bit better if they had actually named the guy during that ramble. I guess that is why my English teacher complained about run on sentences.
And black and female.
Jeff Sessions.....
Why? The writer has a wonderful sense of humor. We all know why
They’re too busy investigating him. The sooner this “hole” juicy smell it thing is over the sooner they can get back to investigating PDJT. Thus-doh-j.
Why, because DOJ likes the illusion of honest elections, especially when Democrats get elected. It is really pretty simple. When Republicans like Trump get elected, then trying to take down duly elected officials is what DOJ sees as it core function.
Things are becoming pretty clear.
Utter total corruption in the DOJ.
Apparently, Deep State has been working hard to make sure totalitarian crooks stay in power. Moran doesn’t seem to realize that a guy contesting an election where he seems to have lost by a significant margin might just mean the candidate knew the election supervisor can count whatever votes she wants to.
Wasn’t it Stalin who said it doesn’t matter who votes, it matters who counts the votes?
I suspect we don’t even begin to realize how many “elected” officials weren’t elected at all.
Backdoor reparations - victim class government workers get immunity from charges related to election fraud and civil - criminal wrongdoing
