The Kenyanesian Usurper could not have usurped the office without the cooperation of the GOP.

When he made up DACA out of thin air, with no basis in law, AFTER saying publicly multiple times that he had no authority, the GOP did nothing to stop him.
They refused the pleas of the citizens to sue and stop him.
The states stopped his SECOND illegal amnesty with a lawsuit.

They are not the Stupid Party, they are the Complicit Party.

The political party system has been ruining this great country since Washington was President.

“I wouldn’t bet money on it.”

Often I will see statements like “they will never override Trump’s veto”. Maybe they won’t but I would not be so sure. Trump needs to build a coalition for the wall and get a team behind him.

See #9.
Graham is running for re-election.
He is still an Amnesty Senator even if he is posturing on this one resolution.

I totally agree with your post #35. The Rats do whatever the hell they want to. They don’t follow precedence, they MAKE precedence.

Well, there are always primaries.

Too late. We “won” with the TEA party and Trump. And what did that get us from the GOPe? Nothing. The GOP is corrupt at its core and unreformable. Sorry.

Joint Resolution: Designated “S. J. Res.” and numbered consecutively upon introduction, with one exception it requires the approval of both chambers and is submitted (just as a bill) to the president for possible signature into law. The one exception is that joint resolutions are used to propose constitutional amendments. These resolutions require a two-thirds affirmative vote in each house but are not submitted to the president; they become effective when ratified by three-quarters of the States.

As I understand it this resolution is to nullify President Trump’s emergency declaration but requires his signature to be valid, otherwise they would have to override it with a 2/3 vote in both houses.

So I guess technically it’s not a law but would cancel a power that Congress gave to the presidency by a law passed in 1976 for this one declaration.

Graham is running his mouth. That’s all. When Hannity steers a conversation with him to anything concrete like criminal charges for Democrats Graham runs as fast as he can from the topic. Watch what Graham does and not what he says.

From article:

He said that he would "absolutely not" vote for the Democrat-led resolution, adding that he is "100 percent with the president."

It is amazing how much Graham has changed politically since the death of his former Big Brother McCain. A couple of years ago, Graham and McCain would have been hand in hand spearheading the GOP opposition to Trump’s emergency order and the border wall.

And 67 to override a veto.

I totally agree, Graham has changed for the better since McCain checked out.

I’m praying he continues this way.

He’s smart enough to know he can’t run against the President.
He HAS to run with him, for now.
If he is re-elected, he will be supporting amnesty.

There are two possibilities with Graham. The first is that he's still an open borders advocate at heart and is just waiting for another 6 years in office to start wreaking havoc again on immigration and other issues.

A more hopeful interpretation is that with Bully Boy McCain gone, Graham needs some other Alpha-Male to latch onto for his "me too" political game (and for a dose of vicarious masculinity), and in this case that alpha male is Trump. If so, he'll still be on board with the program in two years time.
