Well sure, unless you want to count 10s of millions in Drug payoffs.
That too but its mostly about votes..Dems know all they have to do is give these people free health care, food stamps, welfare, etc etc and they will vote Democrat forever
I dunno. LG has seemed to have changed since the demise of Juan McInsane.
Debate in the senate is specifically mentioned in the original NEA law. So I'm guessing cloture is in play.

Where is his public repudiation of amnesty?
Don’t be easily fooled like an AZ voter.
No way, right? Executive Order, by definition, (I interpret) protects the president from interference via separation of powers.
Any Constitutional FReepers out there to correct me?
There’s a provision for Congress to stop an emergency declaration with a resolution but it requires the President’s signature and he’ll veto it.
Justin Amash, the first of the jihadist wannabees from Michigan, co-sponsoring the bill. Thanks jazusamo.
Thanks for the information, guys. Have a great weekend!
Brats district was redrawn making it more Dem.
Sure enough.
Just as relevant, doesnt McConnell have to approve it coming to the floor for a vote?
“If all 47 Democrats voted for the resolution to block the declaration, they would need to win over four Republicans to send the measure to Trump’s desk, where White House officials expect he would use his first veto so far into his term. “
Wrong. You would need to win over 13 Republicans to bring it to a vote. Besides, the prospect of all red state and border state Democrats supporting this is insane. They do want to get reelected, so you’d have a handful of Dem dissenters as well. This will go nowhere.
The vote to pass the resolution in the Senate and House only requires a simple majority.
After Trump veto’s it it will require a super majority in both to override his veto.
Either way, they won’t have it, either simple or super.
I completely agree.
It’s playing to their base, which is insane. So they’ll get the crazy vote, and lose the moderates. Of course, right now you’ve got the 20 pygmies vying for nomination, and once one of them gets it, they’ll have to work on going back and appealing to the center. I don’t think they can. You rush off a cliff to get the road runner, and he just says “beep beep” and waves goodbye to you.
Looks to me that it's exactly what they're doing and it's nuts.
Last election a few nutjobs crawl out of the woodwork and get elected.
The enemedia puts the spotlight on them and for the most part the Dems go along with it like deer blinded in the headlights. It's crazy.
Scary thing is if they win. I left the country when Obama took office. Under these circumstances, I can’t even consider coming back. I’ll be voting absentee again. I didn’t vote at all in 2012, and look what happened.
