Identifying oneself as conservative to a pollster is not a good indication of how the respondent will vote.

I’m pretty sure that the vegan thing is wiping them out in large numbers. More steak for me!

Imagine how American culture would change if the Liberals lost control of the media. Many people are basically conservative but they put up with the “dominant” culture because they figure most people like that stuff. No. No they don’t. Only a minority of people truly likes trashy culture. But the media assures us that “everyone” does, and so the silent majority just goes along with that. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Sad that New Hampshire is one of the six—though I should confess as someone whose family left New Hampshire in 1800 and who identifies as an Oregonian (raised there, and have family all over the place, including a great-great grandmother who was buried about 1935), I was very glad to see that Oregon is not one of the six most liberal states, even though in some ways I feel sorry for anyone in a state more liberal than Oregon—not in my back yard!

in some states, however, reasonably conservative candidates don’t run.. or else they don’t run To Win.... with money and advertising and serious speaking tours visiting all neighborhoods, get=out=the=vote efforts, etc

think McShame’s 2008 campaign where he spent much of his time and press coverage trying to assure us that we COULD vote for his opponent, that we did not have anything to fear by electing the Kenyan Islamist whatever.... .

and

think Ronmey’s 2012 campaign for a sample of a Loser...
(the public was ready after the first debate...to get rid of the O=bummer in the White House....indeed, O himself said he realized he wasn’t going to win re-election AND that he was already packing up to leave the WH..................and what happened? Romney ....1. NEVER meaningfully challenged or even raised many of O’s greatest electoral weaknesses or failures in office, and
... 2. Romney basically threw the next debate and the rest of the “campaign”

so we had two “How to Lose” candidates in a row...
well, it is the same with some state and local offices....
maybe not quite as bad.. but often we see Country Club candidates on the R ticket (who usually fail to inspire anybody to even get out of bed in the morning, more or less go vote... why vote for people that will not fix anything that’s broken? will not do anything much in office other than, say, take good care of their Country Club or Corporate bff’s??? )...............

that the conservative voters in CA equal the leftist voters ... in numbers... means, really, that CA is a state that COULD see some conservative candidate victories...
but.. when you watch what goes on in CA you quickly see that most conservative or “moderate” candidates just give a few speeches, usually at expensive venues....and they even don’t do much in the way of advertising or getting out the vote... its like...”vote for me if you wanna...meanwhile I’ve got other things to do...”

why bother voting for such candidates?

I’m not suggesting every opponent to leftist socialist communist Nazi type D candidates.......has to be hard-core right wing conservative.... I am only suggesting that conservatives and yes, “moderates” who.. at least don’t wanna impose a completely communistic dictatorship on America... such candidates COULD WIN many more public offices... IF they’d get off their asses and genuinely campaign, advertise, and reach out for voters they might not play golf with.........

This article sounds like junk science. Oregon is clearly dominated by liberals.

They are always outnumbered. They have the mainstream media and voter fraud to make it look otherwise.
