Ted Cruz at CPAC: 'Democrats have gone bat-crap crazy'
Washington Examiner ^ | 3/01/19 | Diana Stancy Correll

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, accused Democrats of going "bat-crap crazy" during a speech to a gathering of conservative activists on Friday in which he assailed the other party for its views on abortion, border security, and the environment.

“I think there is a technical description for what’s going on, which is that Democrats have gone batcrap crazy,” Cruz told National Review editor Rich Lowry at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Oxon Hill, Md.

“They are getting more and more and more extreme on every issue,” Cruz said.

I hate to say it, but even Lindsey Graham sees this issue clearly. So on this issue, there’s a real role reversal.

I just do not trust the guy.

I wanted him to be V.P. in 2015. I wanted him to then be president, and then get appointed to the SCOTUS.

No longer...

Yes. I was just suggesting that sometimes it’s appropriate to simply let hurl with BATSHIT! :-)

If he had buried his animosity and climbed on board at the Convention and then supported Trump so that Hillary could never become president, I’d have had no problem with him.

As you state, he could have been Trump’s wing-man and gotten some decent perks for it over time.

Trump even went to Texas to try and help him out during his Senate election.

Trump is tasked with protecting the states from invasion. It’s his job, if he is going to honor the Constitution.

Congress gave the Presidents the right to declare a national emergency and take action.

Trump is complying within the Constitution and the law.

This waffling is worrisome, because it may bleed still more support away.

This wall is a must-have. It’s his home state. Surely he can see what is happening to Texas. He just had a close call. Why does he think it was that close?

We have to get that border under control, or we’re going to lose our nation.

“Cruz being President Trump’s unexpected wing man would have been one of the great political stories in American history. Cruz would have cemented himself as a historic figure alongside POTUS. It’s sad for both them and this country that it didn’t happen.”

yep, very disappointing

If you have ever contacted the Republican party, local or national, for any reason, you get put on a list that gets sold to any Republican politician that pays for it.

The short answer is that your name was on a list that Cruz bought.

Yep, shoulda said bat guano crazy. Batcrap sounds stupid.

I agree that "Batcrap" sounds 'stupid', but I would more say it sounds 'weenie'. Just call them "bat-shit crazy" and get it over with. At least then he would 'sound' like a man.

Well, in Senator Cruz’ defense, in an attempt to be ‘polite’, he simply timely failed to come up with a suitable substitute such as bat guano (or equivalent) which would have immediately sent all the MSM scurrying for a dictionary.

It was election season, and I agreed that you don’t attack the guy during the run-up to the election for the very same reason you don’t fail to support Trump during an election season.

Cruz isn’t my favorite guy, but I’m not going to pull a stunt like he did just because I don’t like the guy.

We would not have been made stronger by him losing to Beto.

We would not have been made stronger by Trump losing the Hillary.

Who knew? Better yet, who didn’t know? I can think of two or three guys.

The public discourse grows more crude by the minute. Yes, we all know how they talk behind closed doors, but how about a return to a little decorum?

She’s also part a Soros-organized group called “Brand New Congress”. Their goal is to elect as many young commie/national socialists as possible to take over Congress.

Will Ted challenge Trump for the nomination? I think so. who else? Most likely , Romney will. They both have the money behind them. Who else? Maybe delusional Jeb Bush. It wil be interesting, to say the least. I predict that Pence will decline to be a running mate. He will quit the dirty game entirely, because he is a decent Christian man. Nikki Haley may be tapped as Trump’s running mate. Anyone else have predictions?

I was very scornful of Cruz for a long to,e after the primaries but the way he and Trump have forged an excellent working relationship since then is testament to both men.

The 2016 primaries we’re hard fought and both candidates left their all on the field. Both gave as good as they got and ultimately the best man won.

Both men have now moved on and are true voices for the defence of the Republic
