Perhaps they can make reparations to all the dead babies by lowering the voting age to the beginning of gestation.

Because democrats figure they can cheaply buy off 16 year olds with fake promises of fee stuff, no accountability, etc......

If we did away with the minimum age limit, democrats would likely outlaw abortion as the very young are easier to fool.

It’s a mark of integrity for pro life conservatives that they fight to preserve the lives of future Democrat voters.

Golly gee, ain’t she special! Guaranteed to make HR1 a bigger s—t sandwich thank it would have been without her input.
These days, a consensus of neuroscientists agree that brain development likely persists until at least the mid-20s – possibly until the 30s. The fact that our brains aren’t fully developed until the mid 20s means that “legal adults” (those age 18+) are allowed to make adult decisions, without fully mature brains.
How about raising the voting age to 25 and requiring those who run for elective office have fully developed brains - probably somewhere in the 30’s (just in case)????

They already do it in States that allow illegals to vote for local.

I agree with the second part of your response. I don’t think people who are exempt from paying taxes should be allowed to vote.

I still think 40 is good starting voting age. I’m half joking but up until that age very few people know jack $h*t about the realities of government and how it works (or too often doesn’t). Call me cynical and I’ll agree. I’ve seen too much brain-dead voting in my life.

There was a time when the right to vote was tied to the draft

Why not? Everyone knows how wise 16
year olds are. Just ask them.
AOC can be their pied piper.

I'm all for it. If these 16 year olds can pass a basic 20 question, closed book, civics exam. One wrong answer and you have to wait two more years. </sarc>

Even then they should be required to pass a basic 10 question civics exam.

I like this idea of raising voting age to 21 a lot better. Maybe there’s not enough childish twits at age 18 who have any idea how to vote, so by lowering it to 16, then they have more. It seems to me that raising it to 21 would introduce a few more thinking adults into the process. Of course, there would be a lot of screaming by the previously eligible 18 yr. olds. Guess that could be overcome by “grandfathering in” those currently 18+ yrs. old.
