Court photos of the man accused in the Christchurch mosque terror attack have been altered not to show his face due to an order from a New Zealand judge.
Brenton Harrison Tarrant, 28, has been charged with murder in relation to the massacre on Friday, in which 49 people were killed and 42 injured.
Images captured by media outlets during that court appearance are being published blurred or pixellated due to an order from the judge who presided over Tarrant’s hearing, The New Zealand Herald reports.

But, that was a chilling and grisley video that guy, Bracken, posted ... he went back and shot up people two and three times over again, making sure he got them while they were down. I posted the video on Facebook, not approving of the actions, but that people should know ... and I got promptly suspended by Facebook for a week (they said it was going to be a week).
They shouldn’t identify him by name, either.

He wants to be famous. Blurring his picture denies him his fame.
Muslims and liberals should do some soul-searching to figure out what they did to drive this man to such a horrible act.
Who were his associates?
What was he doing in Pakistan, Turkey, and N. Korea?

My first thought was why give the guy any more notoriety by showing his face?
On the other hand, would showing his face serve any good purpose? I don’t know...
Actually, I think all should be identified by name and picture ... I view it as protection for citizens. I realize this is a different country, but just talking about the USA, I would say that identifying people is extremely important, even pictures.
So this is all being blamed on one person? I thought he had accomplises?

Yes ... showing his face does a good purpose. It can aid in others identifying him in different situations where they came across him in the past ... something that could aid in an investigation. Pictures to the public can do a lot of good ... at least I think so.

Get me the pictures of millions of muslims mourning in the streets for the Christian dead.

Yeah ... thus far, the authorities have said that this one person did both shootings ... I get the idea that those others may have some kind of connection, other than the shootings.
It’s not related to him ... the idea is that the government has a lot of power and every person that is detained and/or jailed needs to be identified and made well-known to the public, in order to protect the public ... in general (that is ... protect citizens who may be unjustly taken and held).
Just refer to them all as Mohammed.
