A 42-year-old gay headteacher who was fired for having sex with two 17-year-old boys he met on Grindr has won a discrimination case against his former employer. Matthew Aplin, the former principal at Tywyn Primary School in Neath Port Talbot, Wales, was found by a tribunal to have been discriminated against, reports The Telegraph.
The openly gay teacher of 19 years had arranged in August 2015 to meet with the two boys on the gay hookup site and the three of them had group sex. Social services and police uncovered the liaison days later, but it was determined there had been no criminal activity.

Spit!
4th. Why do you think they call them the headmaster?
I missed it by this much...
I believe the age of consent in Wales in 16.
If so, the trysts were probably legal.
I did not read carefully enough to understand that the boys were from other schools ....
that would arguably make a difference, too, for as you say it would remove the possibility of coercion or misuse of his power position
thanks for the info
I was born in England and brought up in Australia. I always had a soft spot for the monarchy and British system until I went there and saw that it is intertwined heavily with Freemasonry. I wonder whether the God they believe in, or say they do, has anything to do with what I believe. The public school system is an extension of that.
I wonder whether the God they believe in has anything to do with what I believe??
Freemasonry (I'm one) accepts anyone's God. It's universal. All are welcome. We are very up front about that.
Where you go to worship isn't considered.
They had it forever and in every ‘male’ institution including military. During WWII Soviet Navy drafted people as young as 14 and there were specific unstructions for underage personnel to keep out of British sailors off duty at all costs.
Appropriate that hes a head teacher.
Although fanciful, I enjoyed Murder by Decree, on the Ripper and Masonry.

Did you mean, keep away from...?.
Yep, typo. Thanks for correction:)

It was funnier the other way.
I know, Freudian slip when thinking of Limeys.
Yes I am aware of that. My brand of Christianity doesn’t except everyone’s God so that is where I and many Christians differ from Masons. The God of the Muslims for example is not the Father of Jesus Christ nor do the many Hindu God’s have any place beside Jesus!
Must they fit the worst stereotypes???
We worship the Living God that Knows that He is the ONLY Living God...even if our own knowledge of him is limited, He at least, knows us and knows his own Being. Now this self knowing God..”so loved the World that he gave his only begotten son....”
There is no other Living God, but the Living God who sent the Son, who is the Living God in Flesh....”that we might have life and have more abundantly!”
Masonry doesn't pretend to be a religion; my or your "brand" is of no consequence to us as Masons. Some of my brothers think they can skip church!
