Trump cuts all direct assistance to Northern Triangle countries Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala

You are not off the mark, but I don’t believe the judiciary can interfere with foreign aid despite attempts to do so.

Trump just put down a red line against Mexico. If he does not close the border now he will appear as feckless as Obama and he is not feckless. Mexico has to act now. He can not only close the border, he can ban all remittances to Mexico - that is possibly the biggest threat he has as that money is one of their main sources of income and if he does those two things the situation in Mexico will disintegrate quickly.

The next few weeks will be very interesting and I think Trump intends to force this issue once and for all.

Our philosophy concerning such payouts has always been to buy foreign loyalty to America under the guise of recipients using the money to stabilize their countries and help the people. The reality is that the money goes into the coffers of the corrupt leaders/tyrants who frequently have turned on us/betrayed us anyway.

Stop with the bribes globally. Take those trillions and invest in America. Maybe, and it's a big "if", we can still salvage this once great nation.
