Two words: John Bolton. (Iran, Venezuela oil sanctions)

He’s a saboteur & wrecker & Trump will not be reelected if this pyromaniac remains as NSA.

"not a word about tax increases which I think were quite substantial in some states?"

Yeah, the Ohio "Republican" governor wants .18 cents a gallon.. :(
We're aleady at $2.75 out here in the wilds of southern Ohio...

Sounds like the Cap and Trade is starting to expand out of California and into adjoining states!

Man, I hate to see this. When I was working, $4/gallon gasoline meant that a lot of our employees couldn’t drive to work, and they were too far away to take a cab, and a bus ride could have taken nearly 3 1/2 hours.

In Illinois the lottery was sold to everyone on the claim it would hep schools. Instead it went to the general fund.

Hah, I left Illinois many years ago for Florida after they jacked up the vehicle registration costs, etc. Got sick of having to emissions-test my truck all the time while East St Louisans were let off the hook, got sick of income taxes.

We lived near Missouri so we always filled up our tanks in Missouri to avoid Illinois fuel taxes. Shopped there, too because the sales tax was lower.

Millions of barrels of that oil have been exported so it’s not strictly being used here.

Though!what good is having an abundant supply of oil if you don’t have adequate facilities to refine it?

That is exactly what my thought are.

Not sure why the oil/gas industry would want Trump out, but I expect to see gas close to $5/gal in the summer of 2020.

The same thin happens almost every year. I think April 1st or May 1st is the start of the summer blend season.

Here in Pleasant Hill, CA it is 3.89 a gallon. Not so far off from being 4.

What the USA needs is MORE REFINERIES. Someone should tell the President THAT + blow out the regulations on that. $3.99 UP from $3.49 3 weeks ago in Inland Los Angeles. It’s disgusting.
