A scuttled White House proposal to release immigrant detainees in San Francisco and other sanctuary cities triggered a fierce backlash Friday from Democrats including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whose office called the idea “despicable.”
The Washington Post first reported that the White House proposed sending the detainees to sanctuary cities, including Pelosi's district, twice in the last six months. The proposal was first floated in November amid reports of a large migrant caravan from Central America making its way to the southern border. The idea was again considered in February, amid the standoff with Congress over a border wall.
“The extent of this Administration’s cynicism and cruelty cannot be overstated,” Pelosi spokeswoman Ashley Etienne said in a statement Friday. “Using human beings—including little children—as pawns in their warped game to perpetuate fear and demonize immigrants is despicable, and in some cases, criminal.”
She added: “The American people have resoundingly rejected this Administration’s toxic anti-immigrant policies, and Democrats will continue to advance immigration policies that keep us safe and honor our values.”
Officials stressed that the plan never went anywhere.

I’d like to see Trump say it would be a despicable act of cruelty to send these love gifts anywhere they are unwelcome, and the kindest policy would be to relocate them where they will be wanted and protected.
That can be no locations except the sanctuary cities where they want them so badly they are willing to defy the full might of the Federal Government to shield and protect them!

They’re talking jail time for the parents who paid to have their children admitted to a prestige college.. they took the position someone else who was doing it the legal way, could have had.
So what is the difference between those students and the illegals who are coming in by the thousands and taking the allowed admittances from those who have waited a long time trying to get into the US .
One gets jail and the other gets a place to stay, food, free med free schooling, etc and etc!
Again, that is the justice the dem party has made the norm in our country... with the GOP not stopping them when they should have.
And I think sending the illegals the dems want to let come into the country, to their states... is a great idea! The elite really blew it when it was sggested...so what does that make them!! “not in my yard”....”in yours”.
Good thing she does, she's had so many of them!

Won’t work. The “Native Hawaiians” already hate everyone else here and went ballistic when there was a proposal in the legislature to make Hawaii a “sanctuary state.” The legislation was quickly killed.
She could leave her front door unlocked...her guest may need to cook something in the kitchen or use the restroom.
