PYONGYANG, North Korea (AP) — North Korea announced that it has test-fired a new type of tactical guided weapon. The Korean Central News Agency says Chairman Kim Jong Un observed the firing of the weapon Wednesday by the Academy of Defense Science. The agency reports that Kim said "the development of the weapon system serves as an event of very weighty significance in increasing the combat power of the People's Army." The agency says Kim mounted an observation post to learn about the test-fire of the new-type tactical guided weapon and guide the test-fire. The announcement came after reports of new activity at a North Korean missile research center and long-range rocket site...

I think the Chinese are using Little Rocket Man as a proxy in their battle with Trump. I’m sure their offer to the president is “back off on the tariffs and we’ll pressure fat boy”. Trump’s reply “F off on fat boy and I’ll pressure you with more tariffs”.

North Korean State Media (i.e KCNA) released this photo from yesterday, (17 April local) of the Fat Boy pleased with his latest doings. Carried by South Korean media just a little while ago.

So where is the new tactical guided weapon? Maybe it is reflected in his eyes, but I can’t blow up the photo large enough to see it.

I notice one of the generals is holding something that looks like a remote of some kind. Maybe the weapon is a drone or model plane.

Thank you. Here is the link (in Korean) to the North Korean media, Rodong Sinmun daily, saying they did so.

He is probably making a bigger deal out of it than it really is, at least trying to throw a tantrum again, thinking he will get the same results. It's ingrained for them to act this way. And for good reason. By and large they have gotten what they wanted. Either the attention or the money.

LOL Good one. Sharp eyes. Those are notepads.

His toadies always carry them and record his every word, direction, comment, tirade and fart. Were any of them to simply misplace a note pad, or have one without a pen, it would be off to the concentration camp for them. These are his usual "on the spot" guidance trips. This one, to rattle the Americans once again.

Well NK is a nation. It does have the right to have some weapons. As long as they are not WMD’s then no one has the right to stop them unless they use them for the wrong purpose.

Yes, Japan’s Navy is more powerful than the British royal Navy at the moment

Things were going fine until John Bolton came along. The US should’ve declared that the war is officially over and tasked our ally South Korea to redirect NK to join them for economic progress.

Japan needs to test a nuclear warhead. We already know they are 30 minutes from being nuclear capable. They need to up the pressure with a 5 megaton test. Normally I would say 0.8-1.2 megaton test but China and NK keep pushing. I would be ok with 10 megs. It’s academic at that level.

Second thought, a joint Japan, South Korea, Taiwan test would be stellar. That would be awesome.

Good question, blueplum. Not really sure who that guy is. I have seen the general before, but not the other over-decorated toady. Note the odd, queer shadow in the photo on the folding chair next to Kim. It could be a shadow of some kind of equipment, a gantry or what not, however North has been known to purposely put weird stuff in their photos to keep the American bastards guessing.

South Korean Defense Agency is assessing. At this point, it looks like a sensitively designed strategy, bold enough to get the US attention, but not too bold such as an ICBM missile or engine test as to angry North Korea's allies in their corner at present: China, Russia and Moon's South Korea. Yomiuri News in Japan is theorizing some kind of cruise missile. For sure it seems short or intermediate range, something intended to hurt South Korea or Japan only, not directly threaten US (that is, if you don't count the 80,000 of our fellow Americans in those two countries stationed at present).

What North Korea really needs is a missile-guided pot roast with a side of potatoes and coleslaw and a slice of pie.

If they could invent that, they might turn that demented hell-hole around.
