Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Michigan Democrat, offered Passover greetings to her “Jewish sisters and brothers” with a graphic that included two fluffy loaves of bread.
There’s just one problem: Jewish people don’t eat leavened bread on Passover.
The first-term congresswoman’s fans and foes on social media were quick to flag the gaffe after her tweet was posted Friday, the first day of Passover.
“Hi! I like you a lot but loaves of bread should not be on a Passover image! May I suggest replacing them with Matzah?” tweeted Ben Yelin.
The blooper came after the British Labour Party removed a similar image, spurred by a round of fact-checking from social-media critics, who pointed out that consuming bread with yeast is forbidden during Passover, the start of the feast of the unleavened bread.
“The Passover custom of eating only unleavened products commemorates the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt, which, according to the Bible, took place so quickly that they did not have time for their bread to rise,” explained the Times of Israel.

This almost has to be deliberate for a politician to make this type of mistake. That could be taken as an insult. Leavening represents sin and and so she is essentially equating Jews with sin (leavened bread).
A blooper? I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if Tlaib did that on purpose.
They had to be bigger to hid the explosive belts.....
What did she know and when did she know it?
I’m sorry, but for an elected official, that is as tone deaf as when the university president invited the African American group to dinner and each table had a centerpiece of cotton plants with bolls.

Jews are not her sisters and brothers. She hates them, as she is commanded to by her gutter ideology, the belief system of death and destruction.
At least she did not put pictures of little monkeys and piggies there.

This was no “blooper”, she knew exactly what she was doing.
I wonder who designed that image and made the error in the first place!
She was following the Labor Party in Britain, birds of a feather.
Like when the Nazis promised the Warsaw Ghetto fighters a Seder, if they surrendered.
I supposed it was good that it was a Muslim who performed such a gaffe about Jews. Had it been a Jewish congressman who made a similar gaffe about Islamic practices, violence would likely follow.
I wonder if the blooper is unintentional, taken after the Last Supper of Leonardo da Vinci which was supposed to have been Jesus’ Passover seder before being crucified. It too has the big fluffy loaves of bread, which is a historical error.
