sounds awesome. Do it..
SC makes Texas look like fags now.
THIS is how you scare libs from turning your red state blue. You just tell yankees “we shoot criminals like dogs” instead of ‘come on over’..
I got to see Georgia’s ‘Ol Sparky’ at Jackson (I worked for the Department of Corrections at the time). While I have no problem with Capital Punishment, I wouldn’t want to watch it happen. Call me a hypocrite if you must, but....
It was kind of creepy.
ME TOO ! And always do it on FRYDAY just for effect.
I prefer the ‘green’ method - hanging with short to no drop; you don’t stress the rope too much so it can be re-used. Do it publicly, too. More deterrent factor that way.
An alternate method would be a large size zip tie around the neck. Tighten just enough to constrict blood flow, but not so much that it stops the breathing; they can continue to breathe, but the brain will go to sleep when the oxygen flow is restricted. They just never wake up.
I sat in South Carolina’s “Old Sparky”, the same one that PeeWee Gaskins, the last man executed by electrocution in SC died in. I was twelve years old when I sat down in it.
Wow, no prophecy but when I heard about this stuff a few years ago I wondered how long before someone synthesized and dropped it on the streets.
I think it’s odd addicts get enabled for their drug usage giving clean needles and more while a person with chronic pain can’t get a script for Vicodin and a doctor can lose his or her license for even suggesting long term pain meds. It’s so upside down
It's funny but the Euros have made it very difficult for us to obtain execution drugs so now we are going back to the old ways. LOL! Law of unintended consequences … hang 'em high!
Nitrogen asphyxiation results are about the same as cyanide or carbon monoxide.
If you mean the result is death youre correct.
Desperately gasping for breath doesn’t seem to me as a painless way to die.
Nitrogen doesnt kill that way. Youre already used to breathing it every day. Room air is 78% nitrogen. One simply falls asleep. Theres no gasping or pain. Its one of the more common causes of death in industrial accidents. You simply fall asleep. Death comes within minutes.
Survivors report that they simply passed out. So if we are going for painless it would be a very viable option. However SCOTUS has already ruled that there is no Constitutional right to a painless death. It simply cant be cruel or unusual.
L
So you are advocating for a Stalinist type execution?
It works for UTAH!
I see what you did here...
Why can’t the condemned be an organ donor?
Or just a blood donor. When enough is gone it’ll be a painless death.
Why waste all that good meat?
There’s just no right way to do the wrong thing.
Your info on nitrogen asphyxiation is accurate, and it does occur all too frequently when nitrogen is used in industrial processes. Survivors had no clue anything was amiss until they began to pass out.
Execution by way of nitrogen could be very simple: a tank of the gas, a hose, a pressure regulator and a half-face mask would be all that was necessary. Fifteen minutes of gas administration and the subject will be “really, most sincerely dead,”
Are you trying to vilify that type of execution by linking it to Stalin?
What I was trying to assert is that type of execution is indeed quick and painless.
Conventional firing squads have it where a group of men in single file formation take aim at vital organs from several feet away. Sometimes only one of them will have live rounds. Sometimes a bullseye is on the chest of the subject.
It’s pretty much a fact that a person heart shot is not dead until his brain dies due to lack of oxygen. If he does not go into immediate shock and lose consciousness, then the execution will be neither quick nor painless.
Now if this is Stalinist, then great, at least the guy did something right.
Stalin also killed Trotsky, which was a good thing.
Everyone, without exception, dies eventually.
Some people should be made to die sooner to make absolutely sure that they will no longer injure others.
The creep factor is enhance by the fact that some of the condemned actually survived the initial jolts.
