It did. Now some poor bastard has to become a victim of this before it can be challenged in court.
Another example of voters breaking their asses to get a Republican elected only to get stabbed in the back. I detest them
Before Red Flag laws, making a false official statement to police or judges was perjury, a felony with jail time.
Under Red Flag, false statements leading to confiscation or SWATing are treated as misdemeanors, if that.
And yes, where the bleep is the NRA/ILA? They should be tracking and publishing Red Flag raids wherever they occur, and fighting Red Flag laws in the courts as we speak.
Before, gun owners kept their guns secret for physical security reasons. Now, it’s to prevent disgruntled liberal neighbors from bringing smoke on your @zz.
We are turning into East Germany state by state; Stasi & snitches and all. Doctors spying on us, teachers denouncing students wearing MAGA caps, it’s getting scary.
If the Second Amendment is not solid, nothing is.
They destroy it, and the nation closes shop on the Leftist MSM outlets.
We’ll see how long this tit for tat lasts.
Is this what the Left wants to see?
Evidently so.
Why don’t we instead, pass a law making it a crime to shoot people in a house of worship? It can apply to pistols, “assault weapons,” shotguns, and long-guns.
>>Can you imagine this in any other context? Like a neighbor says you’re a drunk driver and a threat to others on the road, and a judge takes away your car for 365 days unless you can prove you’re not a threat?<<
Worse, this is like the police COMING INTO YOUR HOUSE and confiscating all your booze unless you can prove you will not drink and drive in the future. Repeatedly.
here is a red flag law i could get behind...
Any government official wishing to deny the right of self defense to any constituent by infringing on the right of the people to keep and bear arms, must not be allowed to hold any elected office.
It's not about "believing" your safe. It's about "being" safe. That's where a loaded .45 in church comes in handy.
Decades ago liberals caricatured conservatives as going around “with a Bible in one hand and a .45 in the other”.
Works for me. There’s a war on Jews and Christians. Muslims are attacking churches and synagogues, and liberals are trying to disarm us and deprive us of the means of self defense.
A war on liberals and muzzies is what is called for.
Solution: Elect pro-2nd amendment, constitutional sheriffs in your counties. That nullifies any and all red flag laws.
Folks here like to call him Bush Leaguer, GOPe, Rino, whatever....fact is - first and foremost - he is a REPUBLICAN!!!!!!! (SPIT!)

How about we open the nut House s again?
You nuts?
Here you go.
It must really chaff their ass that no agency in the entire United States knows how many firearms one may own or where they’re located.
I’d like to hear a story about someone actually getting their gun back. As far as I know, it hasn’t happened yet.
In Maryland, Gary Willis was killed by police during one of these raids.
It did... in Colorado. I wonder if it now more difficult to get a carry license.
Colorado is going to hell in a handbasket.
Some crazies shoot up some houses of worship?
HEY, I KNOW! LET’S BLAME EVERY OTHER GUN OWNER FOR THEM!
Likely only a handful of Ohio sheriffs would enforce this travesty but I am confident it will never pass the legislature. Meanwhile, DeWine has branded himself an idiot for believing this would curb “gun violence.”
The folly of 'Red Flag' gun laws John R. Lott, Jr.
In CO you don’t need a license to open carry ... but you probably need a good lawyer on speed dial.
Especially in Denver.
