God Bless this country if the democrats ever get control of
both Houses of Congress and the Presidency at the same time.

How about we swap liberals for intelligent, well-trained foreign nationals? 1-fer-1. I mean, they love communism—let them have communism, and those people that are fleeing communism can find freedom.

Quick, somebody elect me President!

Curious, who do you consider the original Americans?

WHY ARE WE ALLOWING CITIZENS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES
WHO ENTER US ILLEGALLY GRANT THEM RIGHTS
THAT THEIR COUNTRY DENY US HAVING
WHEN WE ENTER THEIRS LEGALLY TO VISIT OR RETIRE ???
In the hundreds of postings here in Free Republic rarely is this brought up. It’s Known As Reciprocity. We should be treating anybody illegally crossing the Mexican border into the US the way the Mexican’s do Any American illegally .crossing into Mexico. No free lawyer Entry denied heavy fine and possible imprisonment. before getting kicked out.

It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen entering illegally exempting those who do so legally and meet US citizenship requirements.

Democrats with their open border jingo bingo should not be allowed to allow to pervert the concept of sovereignty get twisted into being propagandized as “White Nationalism”.

Use of that term is usually directed when the immigration issue is brought up to devalue of the protections an American citizen have by being one. We’re allowing the hordes illegally entering the US through the Mexican border but refuse recognizing and dealing with the 2nd class treatment that American citizens get while legally residing in Mexico which not just includes denial of voting privileges but employment, and land ownership in their name. Allowing illegals property ownership in states which Mexico has previously claimed. Which could be used to support any reclaiming effort should regime changes in Mexico arise , Our border with Mexico has always been contentious, those barriers are a must .

Today’s so called democrats insist Americans must allow illegals storm in here by the hundreds of thousands despite their cost to us citizens. Claiming benefits are cheap labor which winds up removing PT job opportunities for citizens including teenagers and full time work for blacks. That open door sanctuary policy is suddenly requiring billion$ in tax dollars, which is never enough. Tax money that should be going to our citizens for their sustenance, health, education, and housing even infrastructure are being diverted to illegal’s needs. But Americans must do the tax flagellating punishment because we’re the very rich United States and must divert those billion$ to fill the needs of those poor illegals plus give them the right to vote. Sustained by our tax money which our children’s children if not aborted will be paying for.

What never gets mentioned in all of this is the lacking reciprocal treatment. If we applied that policy . Would this continue ?

Because of those citizen restrictions in the Mexican constitution a US citizen besides not being able to vote, and cannot have title in their name to any land property in Mexico. And until that is changed the US and the affected state should consider making that reciprocal. Prohibiting any illegal entrant employment, voting, and land ownership privileges fully enforced .In other words Sneak into this country before expulsion no job, no voting, no landowning.

Note to China: Having your nuts in a vise for five years four months and then having to deal with a President Pence is gonna hurt. Don’t listen to these people. They’re not serious. One thing I know from doing business with Chinese. They are practical.

Points system. Sounds like the Australian system. I hope some improvement in the current US immigration system happens since it looks somewhat broken, at least to someone looking at it from the other side of the world...

It's bad deal. Connecting legal immigration reform to illegal immigration enforcement and border control. THEY ARE SEPARATE ISSUES!!!

This "comprehensive" approach is BS. I smell Kushner....

Kushner, you're fired.

The "skilled" aspect is the scariest part. We are going to have 165K/yr H-1B visas and plus this new flood of 500,000 "skilled" white collar types per year? ARE THESE W.H. KOOKS ON DRUGS????

What screw job. Corporate welfare wage suppression at its worst. Jeb Bush and Karl Rove could have written this pig crap.

Yeah. Might as well send your kid to IIT Madras or National Taiwan University for college, it’s the only place any interviews will be taking place.

Good post back then.

Especially the point about the obvious discrimination against Americans based on OUR nationality.

It’s been said over and over endlessly how badly the ‘65 Immigration act screwed the nation. But still no fix.

Trump is being told this is the fix because it gets rid of chain immigration. But in the end it won’t - the family people will still get pulled in, just as illegals: they’ll have a couch to sleep on. It’s already the primary way illegals come here.

And once here, the Rat party will work endlessly to defeat enforcement and keep them here. If you don’t have the support of the Americans, just import your voters!

I remember the 270,000 number as well. That’s what it was all through the ‘50s and most of the ‘60s; had two teachers from England who came in under that. Oddly they fit right in. Amazing, huh?

I don’t get it that EVerify isn’t already the law. NOTHING should go forward until it is. Another issue is cheating on the H1B Visa. These “highly qualified” workers? Won’t they be the very ones who compete with qualified US citizens, and keep wages and job opportunities undermined?

"keeping the number of green cards issued per year at one million”

Sure. As long as they come from countries specified in the 1924 National Origins act.

That would be less bad - but best is closing the floodgates and hiring Americans for American jobs.

Then you have 40% of the country that want open borders.

So we are fighting a losing battle.

**************************************************************

Maybe so. After all as the saying goes, “The people get the government they deserve”. And you know what? I’m starting not to care. Why? Because I have experienced the same uncaring attitude from people I have spoken with in my family.

I’m 76 yrs old, retired at age 52 and have everything I need or could want including my health. Never even had a perscription. I thank our Lord daily for my good fortune.

I will feel no sympathy for those left in America when and if it all comes crashing down. Stupidity reaps it’s own rewards so let’s wait and see what tune the morons sing when it all goes wrong.
